  • this song is crazy intense given the subject matter of the song..never drink and drive....ever..

  • "I died for you once. Never again."

  • The limo driver was NOT drunk. The limo was hit head on by a drunk driver who was speeding down the highway in the wrong direction. The limo driver was killed on impact along with little Katie Flynn. BOTH were VICTIMS of DRUNK DRIVING whose precious lives were stolen. @keri1529, Please don't spread misinformation. Many Long Islanders followed the trial and you can easily research it online.

  • Woah.. so while listening to this amazing song I looked down to see the letter K (representing Katie) on the keyboard. Then I tilted my head to the left and noticed its a body without a head..... I got the strongest chills ever.

  • @2:22 =Heaven.... Hey you beauty supreme...yeah you were right about me...Looove ittt

  • Dont be sad, be happy! Its "Gods" will right? Right guys??

  • @ns88ster Human beings have free will no matter what you believe in. What happens happens. "God", nor any other supreme/supernatural being controls our actions. So please, don't bring Religion into such a matter.

  • @SacredNinjaz lol gods not real your dumb

  • @russianload Re-read my comment. I think you missed the part where I never said whether He does or doesn't exist. Just sayin' keep Religion out off it.

  • @SacredNinjaz I never comment on anything but you are right. It's annoying how people do what ns88ster did. Thank you for saying something before i did because people like that frustrate me.

  • @ns88ster You're a fucking moron. God is not some kind of fairy Godmother, making wishes true and controlling other people's actions.

Okay, maybe you're not a moron. Maybe you're just ignorant.

  • @lulzjess haha damn.. thumbs up police on youtube..reporting for duty eh? haha

  • Hey brand new fans, I'm looking for the video promo for "the devil and god are raging inside of me." I remember the video being of a guy with a hoodie on spray painting evil and good and then later adding word and letters to making it say the devil and god. anyone know where I can find this?!

  • This is such a powerful song from such a powerful album. Lots of appreciation.

  • I can understand someone not enjoying this genre of music, but this song is such a cut above all others, that you have to at least marvel at the quality behind it

  • "It was brutal, and I hope that it is as brutal for you all as it was for me. I want everybody to know that. I want everyone to feel our pain and know our sadness."

Ms. Flynn in the New York Times

  • Favorite song of all time as of like four days ago. Probably listened to it like 100 times.

  • I have a very strong asumption about this song in 2 areas; if you think Im right, give me a thumbs up. I think that when he says 'K', at the beginning, hes talking about Katie, but maybe didn't wanna use her full name. Then when he starts counting at the end, 1 will love you so much...... 2 will love you so much....... he goes up to 7. Is that because she was only seven? That's what I think. What do you think?

  • @infinatedomain i think he says hey

  • @infinatedomain That's right, but you don't deserve a "thumbs up" or anything..

  • I'M IN LOVE WITH THIS SONG!

  • for some reason this is my least favorite one on the album... No offense

  • @theedwardcunningham are you serious? This song is amazing, one of my favorites by Brand New, and tdagarim isn't even my favorite album. It's amazing, and the lyrics really get to me because it revolves around such a tragedy, and I find myself able to relate on a certain level since one of my childhood friends was killed by a drunk driver. nothing as horrible as this accident, but I think it's beautiful, I'm sorry you can't appreciate it.

  • A guy got in a fight with his girlfriend and got really drunk, and drove down the freeway like a wasted american, and hit the limousine, like fcukimbusy said, and killed the girl.

  • such a beautiful song.

  • The girl on the cover represents Katie Flynn.

  • @DaveSpectacular I don't know that that's totally true. It's a photo by...eh ic an't remember his anme but it's in a book, a collection of his photos and they used it for the cover. I don't think it neccesarily represents her in particular.

  • @fullmetalfunk "The album cover is a picture titled "Untitled #44" from Nicholas Prior's "Age of Man" collection which the band saw at an art show and later used" from wikiipediaa

  • @actorchild Yes! Thank you! :)

  • This song is about the death of 7-year old Katie Flynn. Katie was the flower girl at her aunt's wedding, spreading petals down the aisle. As they left the wedding, they all got into a limousine and headed home. The limo driver was drunk and he drove no more than two miles. Both the driver of the limousine, Stanley Rabinowitz, and Katie were killed instantly. Katie was decapitated and her mother held her head as rescue workers helped the rest of the family out of the vehicle.

  • It wasn't the limo driver, it was an oncoming car.

  • @keri1529 I didn't know that. I thought the song was about human flaws and how naive we can be because people sin every day and it is not looked at as being wrong anymore, its becoming a norm. The line "The guilt will crush me and in the choir I saw our sad Messiah. He was bored and tired of my laments. He said "I died for you one time, but never again." The morals of western society are going back to the times of Rome, and when that happens there is supposed to be a second comming of the Savior

  • Our youth is lost;

A product of the created circumstances.

All I can say is maybe

    Maybe, maybe

All I can say is maybe

This is what I've been expecting all along, all along

  • @keri1529 take wat u want out of it tbh.. im sure there's 50 hidden meanings that ppl click with

  • @keri1529 cool story bro

  • @keri1529 Actually, I heard about this tragic story on Oprah (lol) and the driver of the limousine wasn't drunk. There was a drunk driver that police were chasing going in the limo's lane in the opposite direction. So it was a head on collision with the limo, killing the driver instantly and decapitating Katie. The driver was a father and apparently a really great, kind man. The drunk driver was fine.

  • @buffiexoh oh wow! That would be the only episode of oprah i would want to watch! is it on youtube?

  • @infinatedomain I'm really not sure, sorry! :(

But I think if you google episodes where she talks about car accidents you may find it.

  • @buffiexoh unfortunately..

  • @keri1529 Wrong. It was actually a dude that decided to drink drive after having an argument with his girlfriend who caused the crash. He survived unharmed. I know this because Jesse told me when We spoke when i saw them at a Myspace secret show in Brisbane, Australia.

  • @keri1529 the limo driver was sober, the driver of the pickup was intoxicated

  • @keri1529

The limousine driver was NOT drunk. The man in the truck that hit them head,Martin Heidgen, on was the one that was intoxicated, his alcohol level being 3x over the limit.

If you watch the dashboard camera of the limousine, you can clearly tell the truck crossed over into their lane and hit them head on.

    Do your research.

  • My favorite song from Devil and God, i love the guitar solo at the ending

  • does anyone know who or what they were quoting in the beginning?

  • It's about a story of a wedding limo ride gone terribly wrong. Google it - you'll find it under like "Limousine - Brand New Meaning"

  • great song =[]
