I rode a mule for the first time and i was suprised how large they are, i thought they were small like donkeys , but they are big as horses

this is a great experience to have! i did the two-night trip, riding down Bright Angel, stay at Phantom Ranch two nights in a cabin, they feed you very well, we took a day-hike to Ribbon Falls and back. the mule ride trip is the best trip/vacation/adventure i have ever done. yes, some parts are scary, but not terrifying. the balance of the trip is worth the scary parts, and actually they add their own aura to the trip. i can't recommend this trip highly enough.

Just how a video should begin: close ups of some crazy foreigners! Too bad the mules didn't dump you over the side of Bright Angel Trail... would have ended all that wasted dialogue that no one can understand!

I did this two years ago and IT WAS SCARY. the mules were so close to the edge!

I went down on the mules a couple of months ago and it was very fun and very worth it. I'd recommend it to anyone.

The first time I saw the canyon, I thought : Waouhhh ! I will come back here and take my girl-friend up and down those scary paths .. She will RIDE me on my shoulders ! I'll have a backpack on my back, for the food and drinks, I will put a saddle on the pack, provide her with stirrups and reins, and let's go !!! When I see those mules, I wish I was one of them ! Even when its going steeply uphill, even with an unknown, heavy and demanding rider on my shoulders !! No danger on manback !!

I'd take a mule down there before I'd walk down there. The mules are a ton more surefooted than I am.
