i used to watch my sister and my father playing SNES, and this final castle scared the shit out of me.. and it still does; i'm 18. I think the worst part is when Bowser comes out for the third time, and the clown looks angry as hell.. Great game though, great memories that comes with it. :)

The ones in thoes games I believe are the "Koopa kid/kids" which MIGHT!! Big might there! Have started in Mario Party? They split into Koopa kids Red, Green, and Blue.. But the could join together to get a normal shell/hair color.

if you beat the Valley Fortress(one of the hardest levels in the game!!) you go to the Back Door of Bowser's Castle, which takes you straight to the part before the Bowser fight. and has a checkpoint.

Yeah Jay, I was never much of a gamer as a kid, but I did LOVE this game...for some reason it was so fun to play. I guess it was because it seemed so advanced at the time, considering we all spent 4 or 5 years playing the NES before the SNES came out. I was 13 years old when I played this game back in 93'...good memories.
