What I think people are missing is that while her voice may not be perfect live, she puts passion into her vocals. Look at her sing! Look at her face. She feels the lyrics, and knows the pain the draw. That, to me, is what makes her voice so beautiful, flaws or not. She takes that pain and lets it color her words.

@ffacfreak I really havent found a SINGLE live video that she performs as good as you describe.Can you please link me ONE of them?I think Amy is a wonderful songwriter but she is using too much backing vocals tracks and she makes the mistake (imo) to use them live as well...Set aside that,she really cant sing as she would like to,thts a fact.Studio albums,i enjoy them 100%,i wouldnt pay to see live.

Music is a marriage of emotion, melody, people skilled in playing instruments, and a vocalist who can really sing! Amy Lee is such a singer who just bleeds emotion in her songs... you can really feel the music deep within you. Most songs had qualities like that long ago but only a handful of groups around now possess it... and Amy Lee is definitely one of the top contenders.

The rest of her band are very talented but their look needs to change. They don't even match her style at all and the drummer just looks like a wannabe rapper. (ugh!) They should go really full goth with dark renaissance type costumes and better stage props like a sinister looking gothic graveyard for instance with dead wilting trees, leaves on the ground, huge old looking stone and iron crosses all around them. Also a fog machine with lights turning the fog different eerie colors.

And in the background could be a huge screen projecting different scenes as they play various songs as well. That's how I would like to see this band progress.  They are doing awesome right now but I think changes like this would make them even better!!

I had an Evanescence phase about 2 years ago and I switched to Hip-Hop and R&B type songs now. Just last November, I went to a Chris Brown concert. As you know or can possibly imagine, Evanescence's and Chris Brown's music are QUITE different, but it seemed easy to "rock out" at Chris Brown's concert, if you know what I mean. Honestly, not to hate or anything, but I think Evanescence's songs are kind of depressing... Out of curiosity, how exactly do people enjoy them at a concert?
