@onotuoedaul - You think she should take italian classes because of her singing one italian song, that she probably will never sing again? LOL!! There's no need to take italian classes if you are not going to be singing that type of music for the rest of your life. According to the description the uploader posted, it was just for her high school senior recital. Maybe she'd like to do OTHER types of music than italian.
@neetrab sorry, is just that i dont get WHY would someone pick a baroque italian song to learn if does not want to sing this kind of music... so go pick gaga songs
@onotuoedaul - I'm assuming you don't know this but, people don't get to chose their own songs if they are learning from a school teacher. I take lessons with a teacher at a college and it is required that I sing a certain amount of songs in different languages to pass for the semester. Her class in high school might be like that. It might have been a requirement for her to sing that.. especially for a recital.
@onotuoedaul - wow... now that I'm seeing this for the second time and after learning this song.. yes the diction could be better..MUCH... but still was good.
Beautiful voice, just gotta work on pronunciation. Im doing the same song for Solo and ensemble this year (freshman) , im Hoping it will get me to state.
@vampiraleighann Good luck. :) I'm about to have my FIRST EVER voice lesson, and my teacher has told me he expects me to learn this song. I'm gonna pee my pants. D: I'm taking the lessons as an filler credit because I'm a senior and am out of other required credits to take!
@missfortissimo Best of luck to you. This was one of the first ever songs I was asked to learn for an exam. Once you start listening to the tune byu a few other people, it becomes second nature. Its easier if its a song that you like, so search around for other composers' works that you might like learn- build your own "repetoire" that YOU enjoy singing. This is a good choice, the words are passionate and its always pleasant to listen to :)
Great Voice! and Remember people that this was her Senior year of HIGH SCHOOL. So of course pronunciation isn't going to be perfect. She's had a coupe of years now to study music if that's what she chose and if she has then I bet now she can speak Italian very well. Jessica I'll be cheering for you for Miss America! Good Luck!
I'm reading some of the comments here... c'mon! High School? For someone whose native language is English??? Give her a break with the vowels! She is fantastic!
oh thank goodness i found this and nel cor piu non mi sento by you because now im gettin a hundred on my class assignment!!!!! thanks this video helped me alot
Expression too arrogant, do these people know the translation? Don't listen to the haters, constructive criticism is one thing but geez. I'm actually using your video to help me practice. Even my voice coach said he thought I'd made a good choice if I opted to rehearse with a "backup" on occasion.
I agree with other posters have said... pronunciation is off. Lovely voice, but you should work on your Italian a bit. I sang this song for a talent show, and it was very helpful for me to take a look at the version sung by Cecilia Bartoli, who is a native Italian (at least, as far as I know). Think pure, vertical vowel sounds and softer, flipped r's--or rolled if I can do that. Unfortunately, I can't. :P
Not only are you a good singer, but you delivered this very well. So many singers think it's a sad song, and it can be, but I like how you made it more playful. Very well done. :)
I have been using your voice as my model and aspiration, and your videos to teach myself the arias I always wanted to learn. I am running out, please post more foreign music! I have some requests, if you might indulge me: Vittoria, vittoria!, Pieta, Signore!, Che Fiero Costume and Il Mio bel Foco. You are absolutely flawless, you are my teacher... Thank you, so much.
Pretty and has an OUTSANDING VOICE! D: i literally hated this song to death until i heard you sing it! Good job! Im trying to learn it for solo and ensemble in choir <3
Hello, there. I am a high school student auditioning for Regionals in a month or two, and I am doing this piece, but it is the lower version, not the high one. This is my first year, and I am quite nervous. Do you have any advice? I absolutley l o v e how you performed this, it is so flawless. I really could use it! Thank you so much! You'll go far! Good luck! :)

@emmamagana Thank you so much! A great way to improve is by singing only the vowels, no consonants, just for practice. Focus on keeping the larynx down and the sound forward and the vowels pure! Doing that has helped me make sure each note vibrates and then add the consonants in and hopefully it will sound clearer! Of course, it is difficult to give advice over youtube, but best wishes to you!!! Hope you do well!! :) :) xxx
