@jazminekyu its just a little different because hongki is used to belting his songs ya know? :] and this ballad version of the high energy 'barae' means he has to tone down his energy and volume of his amazing voice so it gets a little scratchy or off-tune in some places. i think it still sounds amazing, and at the end he gets to let go anyway ;]
