Well, Daigo use's god tiers in every SF game i've seen him play. SFA3 used Akuma, and Ryu. SF 3rd strike used Ken, and SF4 use's Ryu. I guess whatever works, works. You have to do anything to win.

3rd strike would have been arguably the best 2d fighter to date without parrying. Think about it. Outside parrying, EVERY character can rushdown, apply strats, and deal nice dmg. The parry system exploit is what turned this game into a non stop poke/turtle fest. But without it, the games mechanics are obviously geared toward offensive play. I still love this game, just not at high level.
Yeah, I'm sorry that in games without parries you actually have to learn proper footsies to get in. Let's just dumb the game down for retards who have no proper spacing instead!

Well, general consensus is that x arcade isn't a good stick, actually. But Seimitsus, Hori Real Arcade Pros and Sanwas are all noted as good sticks. Hori Real Arcade Pros have superior joysticks and Sanwas have superior buttons. A HRAP modded with Sanwa buttons is basically unparalleled.
oh darn that makes me sad, i tried the x arcade at frys w/ tekken and i thought it was pretty good so i ordered it from their site for xmas. i like it because its universally compatible tho. and i'm not into modding so i wouldnt kno how to mess w/ an hori to get out the square cut and replace sanwa buttons...
the 'general consensus' where?? depends on what you buy the stick for. x-arcade is the best at pc emulation. the only thing it lacks is a sanwa ball stick. anyways, yes Hori or custom sticks are the best to use at evo competitions.

I think Diago is the best Ken player, Alex Valle beat him here, but both these guys go way back to Alpha!

But if you judge players skill on what you see in vids, then you'd be suprised once you actually play them. Its a lot different seeing someone in a vid and playing them in a real match.
Well....kinda. I may or may not be able to keep this video here. There won't be a lot of 2k6 vids due to copyright laws and whatnot. A good deal of the funding for the Evolution tourneys comes from the DVD sales and there's no point in buying them if all the videos are on youtube. I did see some Pool videos with lesser known players like SmF, True Tech, and 5-Star if you're interested.

oh darn that makes me sad, i tried the x arcade at frys w/ tekken and i thought it was pretty good so i ordered it from their site for xmas. i like it because its universally compatible tho. and i'm not into modding so i wouldnt kno how to mess w/ an hori to get out the square cut and replace sanwa buttons...

the 'general consensus' where?? depends on what you buy the stick for. x-arcade is the best at pc emulation. the only thing it lacks is a sanwa ball stick. anyways, yes Hori or custom sticks are the best to use at evo competitions.

yah really...hes amazing...he loses like everyone else, but the best part i think is his ability to adjust. What I like so much is that he uses KEn at a HIGH HIGH LEVEL, unlike the Chun's and Yun's that dominate or are seen so often in the finals. I think Diago is the best Ken player, Alex Valle beat him here, but both these guys go way back to Alpha!

yah its really debatable...I don't konw, I just always see either a Yun or a Chun in the finals, and although Ken is definately used probably MORE all around, I think Diago and Alex are the best Ken users and are the only ones that ever make it deep in the tournaments they feature in. In Third Strike that is..

And no, don't say that he plays others fighting games; that's no excuse. Others, myself included, are top tier in other platforms (e.g. Tekken).
Before you bash me, come to the Bay Area arcades. If you think Pyrolee and crap are "awesome," you'd be blown away by people who play down there.

FFA is THE BEST competition for 3S in the states,all 8 on the Break has is Flash G and Jwong (Who got dismantled this year btw)

Pyro's good dude. He's good. Have you played Pyro before? If you have, and you did well then you probably are pretty damn good. But if you judge players skill on what you see in vids, then you'd be suprised once you actually play them. Its a lot different seeing someone in a vid and playing them in a real match.

Well....kinda. I may or may not be able to keep this video here. There won't be a lot of 2k6 vids due to copyright laws and whatnot. A good deal of the funding for the Evolution tourneys comes from the DVD sales and there's no point in buying them if all the videos are on youtube. I did see some Pool videos with lesser known players like SmF, True Tech, and 5-Star if you're interested.
