  • If you want to go really cheap on the plastic cement, purchase lacquer thinner. It welds the parts together just the same and a gallon will only cost ten or twelve bucks. That's enough product to last about a life time of model railroading. It can damage paint if applied in great excess, but it can be applied sparingly since it will be drawn into the joint. All you need is a little bottle and brush so that you work with reasonable amounts at a time.

  • for the N scale can you get the coupler style that locks together like on the O scale? The more realistic couplers?

  • These are the stock couplers that came with the kit. I'm thinking kadee couplers would look a bit more realistic. In addition I remember reading somewhere about using z scale couplers for n scale cars. I think proportionally hey would probably look more realistic. I think I might have read about it in ModelRR Magazine a while back
