The motivation working through this age is extremely vague, but there's sort of a logic if you play it last: in all three lesson ages, the symbol on the book is connected to whatever helps you escape that age. If you play Amateria, and recognize that the symbol on the doors matches that of the book, then play Voltaic and recognize the shape of the airship, then you can (maybe) reason that the symbol of the bird on the tusk means that the Grossamery is the key to escaping Edanna. Maybe.

I don't think the carnivorous plant could possibly be called a Venus Flytrap, as that's a real plant bearing no resemblance to the one in the game. The Pitcher Plant, on the other hand, is another carnivorous plant very similar to the Edannan plant.

@LeonardMeltsner I was going to comment about the same thing. It is very odd that who ever named these things would call it a Venus Flytrap. As a side note, the leaf that is above a real pitcher plant is there to keep rain water from diluting the glucose that is inside the pitcher petal and does not move on its own.

@PoeshockGaming And even here, the leaf can work, because there is another plant that can "wilt" in a matter of seconds using the tonicity of a sac under the meeting of the stem with the branch. This leaf could use the same thing to open and close.

While I don't like Edanna puzzle-wise, I think it's a very beautiful age. Amateria is my favorite though. It seemed to be the most creative.
