My xbox elite MFR 2007 is 5 Years old and Never got red ring of dead still running strong But i had to Change the Disc Drive because the other one stopped reading my Discs :'(

Damnnn, the cores had a 33% failure rate at that time, so out of every 3 people 1 person got the RROD in a year or less.

My pro finally got rrod yestrday after 2.5 yrs :(

It wasnt even hot or making funny noises or anything.

I played it for like 10mins then went out for an hour came back and had 1 ring :( Can extreme cold cause the breaking of it the temp was -4 celcius

well honestly i dont think any room temperature below 0 degrees celcius is a suitable place for any electronic. perhaps the coldness " cooled " [ bare with me ] and inside circuit and once it warmed up it gained the rrod [ hardware faliure ]. its a theory im taking a chance to. if you wish to use the warrant [ if it s not expired ] get a refund and buy a replacement or send it to microsoft or if you wish get a ps3 or wii its totally up to you

Yeaaah people, you gotta start to understand that the rate of faulty consoles is nowhere near 100%..

Yeah, electronics break down. Yeah, 360 has had a higher rate of failure, but some xbox 360's have no problems at all.

I had a release date premium system.

It was fine for like a year, then the motherboard got fried.. (Red ring of death).. 6 months after getting it back, the DVD drive broke down. The varranty took care of it for free and they sent me another xbox 360..

I also have another arcade xbox 360.. it's like a year old and haven't had any problems either.
