  • can you tell me how you made the safe show Evil dead II instead of whatever was in the episode?

  • It's amazing how a filmmaker with a big budget can lose it so easily. This is much worse than the first film.

  • Awwww I liked Evil Dead. Not saying it's the best movie, but not the worst.

  • Very cool. I thought that MST3K was back in action. Great job! MST3K for President!

  • If I didn't know any better I'd swear this was the real thing! LOL

  • ED2 came out only a year before the premiere of MST3K (which probably means the original skits were being thought out around the time ED2 came out). Joel had Yahoo Serious hair (sort of) at that time. He also wore a light blue jumpsuit instead of red.

"It stinks" = reference to the Trumpy episode. Call me emo, but that movie actually made me misty.

  • This is well done! Thanks for posting!

  • Yes, Virginia, you can riff good films!

  • this is really well done

  • oh wow. that's pretty good. MST3K fan approves!

  • This is so good, I was actually in denial while I was watching it. I really thought for a while that MST3k had actually done this movie. 0.o

  • Very fun cut, dear sir... I wish to see more of your works...

  • When the guy says "After all I'm a man and you're a woman..." He sounds like Torgo from MHOF...

  • 22 people are NOT groovy.

  • @corvus1970 LOL I love the word groovy and try to use it as much as possible. Thanks for putting it in your post

  • that chick is hawt

  • Wow ! thats when Bruce cambell was thin !

  • Great job. I could've sworn it was real too until I recognized the riffs. It was weird realizing that I've watched so much MST3K that I can recognize the riffs out of context

  • "You know Evil Dead: bunch of bitchy little zombies!" ;)

(thumbs up if you get it?)

  • Beautifully done! I especially love the "Pod People" reference when Ash asks her what she thinks of her new necklace.

  • ooooooooooooooooh i wish this was real

  • All the comments went really well with the scenes. Thanks for the post.

  • hah cool..good job

  • oh wow u did really good on this make more ill watch =D

  • wow,

i seriously thought this was real for a second.

    very impressive fan dub.

  • This sucks.. You can't make fun of ED2. It's already funny, plus It was a good movie. A classic really. What a douche. MST are now rolling over in their metaphorical T.V.-graves. Dude I love MST as much as anyone can. I think you missed the point.

  • @zerokoul74 quit being a fag he did good it was funny as fuck you tool

  • @zerokoul74 uuh, if you havent forgotten theres something called rifftrax and theres a possibly they've already made fun of this and other good movies. thought wish they make fun of catwoman.

  • Woman???? I thought she was just a broom handle; she is IMPOSSIBLY thin!

  • Great job!

  • This is great. The meeting of the best show ever on cable television and one of the best schlocky horror films ever made.

    Well done!

  • I'm going to be honest: I thought that this was going to suck, like so many fan videos often do. I was really happy to find out otherwise.

Also surprised how well Manos riffs worked for Evil Dead II

  • The only way this could've been better for me is when you see the car drive over the cliff, you here the riff from Eegah that says "Watch out for snakes". Good job.

  • thank you!

  • Hmm, the audio balance is way off for MST3K. The riffs should never be swallowed by the actual movie's audio. Great concept, though! :)

  • If you want to hear people riff on "Evil Dead II" you can just listen to the audiocommentary (with Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell, Scott Spiegel and Greg Nicotero). One of the best commentaries ever.

  • 4:40 its eddy from iron maiden!

  • YES! The Critic reference!

  • 2:32

The Critic reference was brilliant. My two best movie critic shows!

  • OH my god! Too funny! Great job! I remember some of the quotes from other shows. That is awesome!

  • This is awesome. Make it full length!!! I love MST3k and Evil Dead trilogy. If I knew how to do this I would totally finish it out.

  • I remember a lot of riffs in there from "Mitchell". Lol

  • mmmm how is the history between 1 and 2???

  • "we're closed!" lol!

  • I never knew they did this....I wonder if it's available on dvd?

  • dude, great job, this musta been a bitch to make.

  • Omigosh!! This is BRILLIANT!!! Love it!!!

  • huzzah!

  • Great job!

If it weren't for things like "Manos" quotes and sound effects happening during the riffs it would seem legit.

  • Just got it. I recognize the riffs from other MST movies. I figured they wouldn't mess with a classic.

  • I didn't know they did this riff. I love Evil Dead, damnit!

  • This is insane... you must have combed EVERY episode for such accurate riffs. How do you have that much time? GET A JOB, SIR!

    P.S. Just kidding. Don't get a job.

  • BRILLIANT!....Wish you would extend it to include more scenes---YOU are good at this! MST3K FOREVER.

  • This is going to turn into snuff film...epic!

  • I thought they only made fun of BAD movies

  • geat video !!!!

i have a evil dead remix

  • Haha I went to Spooner, Wisconsin!

  • LOL, I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who thinks this is a truly awful movie.

Thanks for parodying it with one of the best sitcoms of all time

  • @WatchMyAwesomeVideos This is obviously a tribute to both the show and the movie, and Evil Dead isn't so high and mighty that you can't make fun of it a little so it works.

  • I apologize. I came off as a douche.

Yeah, many good movie can be parodied especially crazy ones like this & Tarantino's work

  • @WatchMyAwesomeVideos No worries man :)

  • "the Necronomicon ex mortis....roughly translated..." "lick me"

  • mst3k censors and hacks up the movies , the films are much better without mst3k and ive watched many of them

  • evil dead 2 makes fun of itself wayyyy too much to be a riffed on. its a horror comedy and a classic. its not really MST3K material. they make fun of BAD movies. this one's a really fantastic movie. granted its a B movie, but that's kind of the point of it. all the same you synched this up pretty well.

  • There are soooo many things to riff on in Evil Dead 2.... mst3k could have totally done that movie.

  • Eegah! Stemlo!

  • can someoine tell me what a riff is because i hear spoony tolk about the riffs of movies but what is it.

  • @TheXtraGuy its basically crackin jokes and making fun of the movie while watching it. the guy and bots at the bottom are riffing.

  • It's Bruce Campbell

  • Rifftrax, look it up everyone.. and donate!

  • @kurukq And Cinematic Titanic, if you like Joel.

  • REALLY impressive use of existing clips, bet this took forever...very good job, and quite funny too...you should do selected scenes from 'Howard The Duck' in this same fashion, and I would volunteer to be your best pal forever...;)

  • 5 stars for effort. It looks great! In reality, they avoided comedies (Catalina Caper being the only exception), so they definitely wouldn't have taken on a movie that spoofs a genere. Still, your edits make the idea almost plausible.

As for "riffing good movies" just because they riffed a movie doesn't make it bad. Rifftrax (where Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett went) takes on good movies all the time!

  • good job!!

  • uh...OK...can't really say that was remotely funny to be honest. I think it helps when the movie is actually bad, not a masterpiece. Then there's material to work with.

  • Now, they're ripping on good movies?

  • Great Job ; This is the best clip of our generation for the best actor of this generation.

  • I love MST3K and I love Evil Dead! Thanks for uploading this video.

  • HA-HA... KILL HIM! lol!

  • I wonder, who has a bigger chin, Bruce Campbell or Jay Leno?

  • HUH ZAAAH

  • I havent seen this. not a minute of it. maybe it's good, maybe it's not. but I'll never find it good. because you DONT riff comedies. *especially good ones like ED2* Mike and the guys dont riff on comedies either because it doesnt really WORK.

  • well,... at least you used Joel.

  • Well done...and I know putting all those riffs together could not have been easy! Bonus points for using my favorite riff of all time: "Joel this is going to turn into a snuff film..."

  • wasn't this a cult hit?!

  • @Turbosoaker41 That's what makes the fact that it's being riffed so great.

  • Nice try - but it really wasn't as good as an actual episode. I can see that you tried pretty hard and it looks great - but this just isn't as funny as MST3k is supposed to be. You should make it clearer that this isn't real MST3k - because you might turn new potential fans off to the genre

  • Too many pauses between riffs.

  • For those who didn't give this a five star rating -- I'd like to see you do better!

  • "Hey... oh what the?! Bad cut!"

    Lololol!

  • I recognized refs from EEGAH and MANOS.

  • Wow really good edits

  • On location in Spooner, WI. I've been there.

  • I love these movies! 'Course, I love mst3k, too, so its the best of both worlds!

  • heeeyyyyyy, wat the... oh bad cut

  • When Bruce turn the recorder on, I was almost certain we were going to hear the recording from Devil Fish (pssh glug glug glug glug). I guess it wouldn't work well if you heard the actors on the original movie during the riffs though.

  • It was like watching an actual episode.

  • very nice, lots of my favorite riffs in there =)

  • Be so awesome if they did do a MST3K of ED2

  • HA! Reminds me of my 1st prom...

just setting at home watching the Evil Dead trilogy!

  • Good use of riff from Girl with Golden Boots...

  • So whaddya think kid? "IT STINKS!"

I had to stop the vid so I could laugh my guts up and not miss anything.

  • Freaked me out at first! Love MST-Evil Dead II is one of my favs.(I named my twin girls Campbell & Raimi) I turned this on and thought how did I miss this one? Nice work!

  • lol WE'RE CLOSED!

  • Suggestion for future version (if any) - when coming out of the tunnel in the beginning, Crow: "Aha! This is a metaphor for..... arterial plaque reduction!" Unfortunately, I can't remember what episode that is from :)

  • I remembered - its about 17 minutes in to Diabolik

  • Great job!

  • OUTSATNDING!!! soo well done i actually thought that MST actually did a short on Evil Dead....please do more of these

  • Every single one of these "I'm going to do an MST3K" bits winds up being excruciatingly stupid.

Good job actually making a good one!

  • @superluser I agree! Very nicely done!

  • @superluser I was thinking the same thing. Can't tell it's a re-edit. until I recognized the jokes from the Manos episode!

  • Indeed...

    Good work!

If this type of recycling just wouldn't require so much research, we could still have lots of *new* old fun with the riff-troupe.

    On another note...

I really miss the *young* Bruce Campbell.

There was so much potential for lots of crazy roles and movies.

His comical talent for black humor and cynicism was tremendous.

He is still good nowadays...but kinda lacks energy...or the youthful spirit.

  • @Kijinn "I really miss the *young* Bruce Campbell.

There was so much potential for lots of crazy roles and movies."

I still say he wouldda made a kick ass Superman/Clark Kent...;)

  • Very nicely hacked!

  • That was some mighty fine editing. Aside from minor bits with the shadowrama it was seamless.

  • That's Amazing! I don't know how you manged to find all the right comments. Nice work.

  • OMG!!! AWESOME!!!

  • Fucking great. I really miss MST3K. It needs to comeback. Sci Fi channel gave them season worth of material to work with.

  • @Dronetek1 just 1 season? they could make the show last 20 years with the random stuff on Sci-Fi! hahaha

  • @Dronetek1 yeah less schools more hockey arenas more packers

  • this is really good

  • Well ya know... Manos.

  • Right, right, not in so many words.

  • Nice work. Very well done. Work of a true fan.

  • "Shot on location in Scooner, Wisconsin..."

  • RIFFS?

  • nice job!

  • Evil Dead 2 was a GREAT film. All the more reason it was never really featured on MST3K.

  • How did you do that?

  • I love you for this. Little heavy on the Manos, though

  • lmao @ 3:32

  • Very funny. One of my favorite movies, and one of my favorite TV shows together. Awesome!

  • "OK! Any questions?"

    LMFAO

  • This was better than I expected. Five star'd and faved!

  • This movie looks so deap!

And I will not see it without Tom and Servo!

  • It's a great movie.

  • Do you mean Tom and Crow?

  • When did I say anything even remotely resembling the names Tom or Crow?

  • Sorry, I must have replied to the wrong comment.

  • Do you mean Tom and Crow? (This is where I meant to post this. Sorry, happypranksgiving.)

  • MST3K plus Bruce Campbell; I don't think this could get better.

  • It would be better if they actually riffed Evil Dead 2. XD

  • Ha, yeah, I can only imagine the things they'd say about the headless chainsaw zombie.

  • "It really makes you think doesn't it?"

  • that was some really really clever editing, i only wish you had done the entire film

  • You edited this perfectly. Making me wish that MST3K REALLY had rifted Evil Dead

  • WOW!!!

  • Got three words for ya: More! More! More!

  • How'd you get the Shadowrama on there?

  • Well done! There are literally hundreds of great one-liners from the Mst3k archives to choose from, so please make more of these. So many possibilities

  • Excellent! More?

  • love it! wheres the rest??

  • Good job.

  • evil dead rocks! bruce...ahem..ash is wicked! we made a version of Mystery Science Theater to a more modern reality show , check it out and give a comment or subscribe to the madness! thanks for putting this up , it's awesome

  • OMG!!! You bastard, not bad though :-)

  • I really wish they did do a episode of this movie, that would have been so cool. But the way you guys did it is still good, keep up the good work.

  • damn fine job.

  • "We're closed." lol

  • Genius... Pure.. GENIUS!

  • That was fucking inspired! Huzzah!

  • Keep doing this you are very very very good at editing videos.

  • kind of hard to spoof a film that doesn't take itself seriously. kind of like doing Airplane. but these guys could make comments on the traffic report and still make me laugh

  • If you did the whole movie, i would for sure

    watch it. well done!!!

  • Wow - great work.

  • Novel idea, good work!

    "Heyyy...oh, bad cut!"

  • yeah well done, top notch!

  • you should do this were they riff on full movies

  • what do u mean? That was the premise of the whole show...

  • Like everyone else has said: Awesome job! That was extrememly well done.

  • This is great! I've always hoped they'd do Evil Dead trilogy, so when I saw this I thought it was real.

I love the many references to "Manos, The hands of fate." That movie really really sucked, but damn was it funny. I bet it would take a long time to go through every MST3K episode to find the right riffs for this movie.

  • This was impressive! I didn't read the info section at first and for a second or two I actually thought I was watching an old MST3K that had somehow escaped my notice.

Bruce Campbell kinda does sound like Torgo at around 3:13.

  • lol

    that is great

    please make more :)

  • This is Awesome! Thank you so much!!!

  • So what movie were they really watching?

  • these riffs are from all over the seasons. Heard my favorite "AH, Bad Cut!" from the girl in gold boots :)

  • Great work.

  • Very impressed, sir. Thank you.

  • I can hear the riffs really well but the movie is barely audible. Otherwise, I'm glad to see this. I love Bruce Campbell!

  • Do some more normalizing/maximizing on the audio, and it'd be almost perfect.
