The men aboard the 30 foot lifeboat saved that little girl's life that night. Much has been marketed about the rescue in regards to "preserving the history of Wood Island Lighthouse". These Coast Guard veterans are interested in sharing the interesting facts surrounding the true story.

What A great idea! Lets take all our trash, drive it 4 hours north and then dump it in a big fucking hole! Hell, we don't need that land yet! Not to mention how inexpensive gas is right now. And who cares if MERC is taking in something that we so casualy disgard and turning it into somthing we all rely on on a daily basis. Its an eye sore on such a BEAUTIFUL city. Biddeford is the biggest pile of shit in southern maine. I say burn it all down but leave MERC.
MERC does not recycle......the city of Biddeford thinks its too costly to set up the curbside pick up so they BURN all the trash and we all suffer the consequences......loose MREC and let Biddo. makea new name for itself.
What do you call taking waste and turning it into electicity? I would call that recycling. And what are the consequences that we all suffer? An eye sore and the occasional stink of garbage? Those two things pretty much sum up the city of biddeford. The EPA standards set for MERC are rediculously high(as they should be). There is very little air polution due to the filtration in the smoke stack and the process water is pretreated and then put into the sewers and sent to the WWTF.
