  • where is the whire of powerline???

  • @lov3r1 That's a diesel TGV from hollywood :)

  • it was filmed near my house the dumfries line scotland warringhill level crossing

  • This TGV is just diesel version. Pantograph is here just for measurement. Knowledge boys!!!

  • @jarinjar

Post Production, do you konw it ?

There are no Diesel Version of the TGV, trust me, i'm a big fam of TGV and i know them by hearth ;D

  • @samados969 You really thought, even for the moment, that I was serious? :-)

  • @jarinjar Here's another joke: Do you know what money is? Find out how they create it and why all people think it has value. The answer will change all your career plans and your whole life.

  • Haters gonna Hate. This scene in 1080p HD 5.1 is incredible. The effects still hold up very well and the music is edge-of-your-seat stuff! When Jean Reno sees he's tethered to a TGV and sees a tunnel, the look on his face is priceless!

Who cares if TGVs don't run in the UK and can't use a third rail. Would you rather this scene be performed using the old slamdoor POS that do 50mph tops?

  • That scene is so unrealistic - air resistance wouldn't be that high when laying down (even at 300 km/h or what it goes) and even if it was, he would just flip around very fast then smash into the roof and fall off, not flying like he does at 0:17 (the frontal area increses a lot when the legs goes up, wich increase the air resistance - and the "wind" is moving horisontal, not upwards)

Also, there is no power lines that as many others have commented already

  • @Ride84XL Yes of course its unrealistic :) hey, wanna see something even more unrealistic? Google "september clues" that will blow your mind away!

  • @Ride84XL

of course this is fake and so not realistic. But not because of the wind.

    Want an example: watch?v=DoT9vTx3_ms

  • @1kleineMax1

Yes, but if you look at "Train rider" he is standing more or less (there is a huge difference in air resinstance when standing or laying down) and he is still not "dragged back" with such a force as the guys in this video (even if hes shirt/jacket is flapping just as much).

It looks like they are affected by G-force more than wind in this video.

Also he shud not fly the way he did - the wind goes horisontal and he is still affected by the gravity.

  • @Ride84XL You know what else is unrealistic? Inception. But most of us still love it. The same goes to this movie. It's called escapism. We watch films to escape from our daily lives.

  • @MrJoshuaYoYo Actually sad. Cause we could make our real lives worth living instead. I like Inception due to its content on memetics. Google what that is!

  • @misanthropie Might have been easier to say "imitation". Real lives worth living? You never sit down with your girlfriend or wife and watch a movie? By the way, you're saying that...while searching YouTube...So, it's sort've contradictory.

  • @MrJoshuaYoYo The web and also movies are tools for communication and inspiration, not to replace real life experience :)

  • @misanthropie Never said it wasn't or was. But that's the exact point: you can't expect a movie to be completely realistic, when it is a movie :) It's not always meant to be. It's called entertainment, I guess :D

  • @MrJoshuaYoYo Actually when you break it down to the bottom, there are no movies, it's just pixels changing colors. The movie is in you. Cause it is your recognition, pre-experience and perspective, what makes you see things there and give the flickering an interpretation and even deeper meaning :) Do you understand?

  • @misanthropie LOL! Okay, man, whatever you say :) So, you've train-surfed? ;) Yeah, I understand :) I'm an award winning filmmaker, so :) By the way, it's kind of strange how your fighting me about this when the guy I was originally speaking to was criticizing the video; one that you obviously like enough to post a video about. A bit strange. And the fact that the pixels are changing (moving) makes it a movie. The word "movie" comes from images that move :) Do you understand? :)

  • @MrJoshuaYoYo Yeah of course I've trainsurfed. I'm that "extreme trainsurfer" guy... Doesn't matter.

But... No, images don't move at all, each of em is still! :) that's the illusion I'm talking about. It's your brain, that makes them "move" via interpreting visual signals. That's where the motion comes from, your own visual cortex. Does it seem strange to you? May be cause you only just learned that you have one ;)

  • is n fake.

    keine stromleitung.

und außerdem könnte der heli nicht landen, weil die stromleitung stört

  • @Omarockseniorenband Was!? fake?

  • bloody gypsies stolen the overhead wiring for scrap again!

  • @Joshuajones91 The scene was done in Scotland on the GSW line near Kilmarnock and Barassie in Ayrshire. It was a class 58 locomotive and some Mark III coaches used and the TGV train image was ampped to the coaches using CGI.

  • @bordercollies10 Awsom! i was always wondering how they did that. Crazy shit!.. makes me wanna watch that shit right now

  • @theGUYwho1 yeah it is awesome lol!!! pretty cool how it done in scotland as well :)

  • The TGV here is a TGV Atlantique. They run exclusively on railways with overhead lines, they don't even have a possibility for a third rail (only the Eurostar had that till 2007). They left the overhead wires out so they could include the helicopter.

The scene carries on in the Channel Tunnel, which is also wrong. TGV Atlantiques do not enter the Tunnel. Also, in the film, the tunnel is just one sole tunnel, rather than 3 in parallel which it actually is in reality.

  • @Joshuajones91 HOLY CRAP LOL i nvr even thought of that when i was younger, lol those overhead wires lol jeez, tottaly makes this shit impossable lol.

  • name of that song?

  • Chemical Brothers - Block Rockin Beats.

  • It's not the TGV that goes from London to Paris, it's the Eurostar. The TGV goes from Paris to Nice.

  • Lol diesel tgv wtf bad movie

  • Bollox, this film is shite. Check out the REAL trainrider!

  • yeah i just realised the overhead power thingy as well! :L

and it wouldnt be a diesel either because you can see there is still a pantograph. i wonder how they did it...

  • They made a copy of the roof of the train.

Then they went into a wind-tunnel and shooted the scenes there.

Or with a vent that blows allot of wind :P

  • Où sont les caténaires pour alimenter la rame? A moins que ce soit un TGV Diesel....

  • hahaha TGV diesel!? i thought it was only electric! hahahha!!!

  • lol, they wouldn't be able to stand up, its way too fast, they would be swept off their feet!

  • even with the harness

  • What happened to the overhead catenary? Wouldn't that helicopter have some trouble with it if this was even remotely true?

  • Good annotation! :)

I don't know, shit where is it? May be someone stole it xDDD

  • I just wanted to say this!!!!

  • So this is how you got your idea on how to attach yourself to the ICE. =D

  • Yes.

  • ..In which case I suggest using the same method on a large airplane..

  • Don't think planesurfing on an aircraft is realistic. But on propeller planes there is in fact a sport called "wing walking"

  • Aircraft surfing would mean three to four times the TGV speed, appr. 700 mph (1000 km/h). Besides, a pressure of only 0,25 - 0,3 bars, way too few oxygen and some -55 to -70 °F (-50 to -60 °C respectively). You would need special clothes for Arctic researchers and a bottle of oxygen to survive it. And probably a parachute, too.

  • THIS IT"S COLLLE GERMANY ROCK"S

  • you know something, this is the second movie I know of in which has both Jon Voight and a train.

  • This it's FAKE try what germans doo hahah in reale LIFE.... but nice TRY..

  • It's not a try, it's just for fun. I am that German who dit it in real life. But not on the French TGV.

  • hahaha, you're funny Hondacompaq.. you say THAT to misanthropie^^

watch his other videos, then think again.

  • ))) he-he cool)
