  • its such a shame..

-the worst thing is some people actually think its cool. but when you've had it once its so easy to get it again and you have to do it so often that you dont want to do it once a week or somthing and another problem is it makes your ear grow "AWAY" from your head so you look more and more like dumby u kno the elephant *:P

  • why does the best fighter like Anderson Silva not have cauliflower ears? maybe headgear, cauliflower is is easily prevented by using headgear, i think mma fighters think that what makes them a fighter, or tough or something. But really its a sign of being a follower not a leader. That why they all hate Anderson Silva. cause he does not even look like a mma fighter. he looks presentable to the public, and will destroy all these fighters in the ring.

  • Retarded.

  • LEE EVANS!

  • one reason i dont wanna join mma but i wanna really bad

  • it blows i got mine after 7 months of bjj

  • cant ear protection help?

  • Girls like it because it shows. "Maybe money and for sure dumb enough to let some of it go."

  • my boyfriend is a fighter., and his ears are like this. i don't hate it but i don't like it. i can stand it. i've drained them a few times, and that's probably the thing i hate the most. lol.

  • im guessing they cant use headphones lmao

  • Bart Palawhatever has fuckin nasty ears!

  • LOL at the comments on cauliflower ears, now way would I ever want my ear to look at that.

The dude that thinks chick dig them should ask one of them to nibble on his cauliflower ear.

  • bart looks like he should be a computer technician

  • is a cauliflower ear caused by cartilege or by blood? Some old school boxer told me it was blood that swelled the ear up, which would mean that the ear could be recovered... so which one is it?

    thanks

  • @Daski69 well it's kind of both. It fills with blood and you can get them drained a few times. But if you dont drain it or it continually happens it causes the cartilage to separate inside the ear and becomes dead and hard. I may not be 100% right on that but im pretty sure.

  • @4CelticPride Thanks! Will regular draining of the blood inhibit the cartilage from separating?

  • @Daski69 Well the cartilage can still separate if it's damaged enough, but if you drain the blood it won't swell up and cause separation of the cartilage inside the ear. Hope that helps mate.

  • @4CelticPride thanks a lot!

  • @Daski69 no problem

  • Any girl that like's cauliflower ears has either an ear fetish or has a pair of cauliflower ears herself. haha.

  • yo you can drain them with syringes after a massage look it up,

also put some Vaseline those ears and then wear your earguard to prevent them

    y dont yah,

you can have a doctor drain em or do it with a friend no reason to keep them do damn youtube search yah dringus

  • He doesn't use "steroid" needles. He uses "insulin" needles.

  • lols they look gross. do girls get them also?

  • @Jennyyx3Lovee Anyone with ears can get them.

  • HEAD BLADE!

  • to have cauliflower ear is not something you choose to have. ear becomes so over time, and NO you do not have it because you think it's cool or for people to know that you are a fighter you have them because it gets annoying that you should stick a syringe and suck out all the blood every fucking time after a match, it will be easier if you operate your ear when you put gloves on the shelf!

  • That is why I started wearing head gear. From the moment I started noticing it develope, I put on the head gear.

  • @19thaman79 Only girls wear headgear !!!

  • @lwp3021

lol...I don't care what anyone thinks...I'm in my first year of wrestling and I just got

  • @codester2012 Same lmao.

  • i need cauflower ears what can i make :D

  • 'peopel know your a fighter' surely a brilliant fighter would have no scarrs at all?? i mean if he-man were in the cage hed wear mascara and none of it would smudge!!

  • the guy speaking in the end , homer simpson .

  • Dude what girl would like that ugly shit. My uncle has it and he's lucky to get ANY pussy whatsoever!

  • brad blackburn got it down

  • Girls like the idea of sleeping or dating a fighter, hence the cauliflower ear, but when it actually comes to dating long term? No they don't like it. Ask any fighters gf or wife, they will all say they hate it.

  • girls like what i tell them to like

  • Thats a fucked up chick

  • chicks go mad when they see me i have cauliflower ears and a broken nose the traits of a true warrior!!!!!

  • @fracturedfist: lol

  • Drain that shit

  • @iKnockturnal I think you have to drain it early on or it calcifies and you're stuck with it.

  • lol .... like sleeping on a rock

  • hey guys..i ahve an advice..did u know..if u drain in out in 6 hour after injuri..it goes back to normal shape??..i did it few time already...

  • @kloklo12389 i left mine, i only have a small patch on my left ear, can i get rid of it? had it for 2 months

  • @steady2wheels isk.. should go to doctor..

  • @steady2wheels without plastic surgery if its hardened its stayin there

  • @tysonantillon so im ugly for good?! :(

  • Comment removed

  • it pops easy... you can target one and make it gush

  • How come alot of dark skinned fighters dont have it? Rampage Evans A.Silva Rumble johnson? im not saying their immune but you dont see it as much?

  • @jbettisfan36 : i'll try to answer this for u, tho i'm not a doctor or anything but i am brown-skinned....

it's because we tend to have smaller, softer ears/lobes/cartilage so it's easier for it to maneuver around with very minimal swelling. i wrestled quite a bit and my ears still look exactly the same since i was a kid.

  • @jbettisfan36 Genetics.

  • U can still get it with headgear. Ive been doing jiu jitsu for 3 yrs and I always wear my head gear. Ur ears still get banged around a little. I have a slight case of it

  • @oatmealpizza4u Hey Bro I Have Been Thinking About MMA Training. So Are You Saying That You Can Still Get That Shit Even If You Wear Big Ear Guards??? Dammit I Really Wanna Train But If I Can Still Get It I Won't Wanna Train Ground And Grapple!!

  • im 15 nd i have cauliflower ear, is this normal at young age?

  • Most don't realize it can significantly damage your hearing. It looks awful and has nothing to do with your skill level. You can get it fixed if it does happen as long as you act fairly quickly. Plus there is no reason to get it if you wear headgear. For some I guess it is a badge of honor. For others it is downright ugly and uncomfortable. So why risk your hearing?

  • im lucky my ears are very resilient cause i got some big fuckin ears haha. ive taken some shots that i thought FOR SURE would give me cauliflower ear and nothing.

  • @TheDiamond123123: with what skills? No skills? Not likely ;)

  • thank you brad blackbury for being smart

  • yeah your rite, boxers actually specialize in standup and thats all they train.. mma fighters train multiple skills at once. boxers have the major advantage with actual boxing rules

  • @superbaby6 mixed martial arts is about stand up to..

  • yeah but in mma you have to have some sort of ground game

  • Lmfao, any girl that actually likes Cauliflower ear is a dumb slut thats probly just telling you that because shes hungry for more cock.

    Girls dont like it LOL

thats just stupid to even think that

  • @godly04 totaly agree

  • @godly04 Its actually because it shows that your a true fighter and can kick peoples ass. They might not like it, but they know ur bad ass so shut your fucking face.

  • @godly04 he wasjoking lol

  • Its not that it looks cool or anything, its that when you get hit in the ears over and over it hurts less when you have cauliflower ear. If you have felt it on a fighter or wrestler its rock hard. so you dont feel the pain a normal person would.

  • @Acarica what are you talking about it hurts more.

  • It hurts soo much more cant even sleep on my side anymore.

  • if you go training after draining it probably just comes again. And too lasy to wear head gear.

  • cauliflower ear is just dumb. have had it 3 times and its usually because I was too lazy to wear hear gear wrestling in the day. Its easy to fix if you go to the doctor and get it drained. It looks like shit. Wear headgear

  • This is the pulverizing of the cartilage in the outer ear. It will not be "drained". The ear will have lost all definition. These injuries ended in prize fighting in the early 60's with the first change in glove sizes. Pugilist dementia is an injury postponed. When we begin to see 27 year old men displaying early symptoms, we're in trouble. Closed head injuries are going to go through the roof! In five years, sports like this will be outlawed.

  • does it make it harder to hear things?because i joined wrestling and havent got those ears yet.

  • it takes awhile for them to form that bad, then they swell up into lumps and harden. If you practice with headgear you wont get them

  • i agree

  • shit im getting one and ive had it for 3 weeks now and its still saw :(

  • i dont like cauliflower ears either. its cool for those who do and fighting is how they make a living, but its a hobby and a workout for me.

  • MMA takes more skill than boxing. MMA includes different disciplines while boxing is only boxing. Many mixed mertial artists have a background in boxing anyone.

  • thank you tips

  • im a huge fan of boxing and i agree that it there is probably alot more training and skill involved in mma but i dont think its as entertaining due to the fact the 90% of mma fights end up with one guy ontop of another pounding him for the next 15 minutes(it was meant to sound gay) i can watch either but i prefer fights when both people are on there feet. mma fights on there feet are great but boxing still takes the cake for me

  • I used to agree with you but the ground game is very interesting to watch once you actually know what you're watching. There's a lot of technique and activity that's hard to notice if you're watching it for the first time

  • same thats y i only watch andersons fights haha

  • ivan you are fucking moron..there are plent of mma fighers who have a boxing backround, who decided to take up wrestling, or jiu jitsu to mixed up their game. i.e stephan bonnar golden glove winner..and a mixed martial artist

  • women like cauliflower ears?..........

  • ivan your a fucking retard i could whoop your ass because boxers dont know what the fuck to when there isa kick/knee coming at you or once you are on the ground what are you gonna do in a crucifix or a rear naked choke you fail at life learn your shit before postin dumbass fucking comment. MMA FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ok? mma takes more skill henced MIXED...you have to train multiple disciplines, not just one...

  • BRAD BLACKBURN???

  • ifl sux

  • wow respect to the fighters but....they need to go to the hospital and get their shit drained if they have it

  • listen to bas rutten

    get them drained early !!!!!

  • ugh...that shit is fuckign disgusting...how can any chick like that?

  • i hate cauliflower ear,lol

  • dan henderson has the worst cauliflower lol at mark miller he got head nkicked in tuf 9

  • hell naw hav u seen couture and nogueria's ears?

  • yeah there pretty bad but o just saw keith jardine kno his are fucking disgusting

  • just look at bj penns ears

  • ya dere bad but coutures and nog's ears r still worse

  • nog's full face is fucked lol

  • true that!

  • Comment removed

  • its not permanent. you can get the surgically removed.

UFC fighters don't get them off time they are done with fighting.

  • i have califlower ear it got really big!

  • that shit's permanent??

  • yes

  • Comment removed

  • thats why i wear a headgear when i roll.

  • haha, exectly

  • you must earn the ear!

  • You slice them after the bubble and they will drain. Ask any rugby player. Get out the Exacto.

  • Ouch...

  • dont they get tanqilisers and take out da blood

  • I have a little tiny Cauliflower on my ear I got it from wrestling when I was younger, not from competition but just from friggin being huge WWF fan with my friends HAHA aint that a bitch

  • can they get surgery to stop that somehow or just drain em like dat guy sed

  • yea u can get them drained every few months to stop blood clotting, it works aparently =\

  • you can do it at home with a pin needle or a knife just do it once and it's gone forever

  • they look disgusting

  • lol @ bart

  • Women "love" cauliflower ears? Ah yes, high quality women I'm sure, the types who sleep with dudes b/c they're 'tough'. You know, the type of girl you never bring home to mom.

  • Lol, No he means the type of woman thats actually hot. You know, the type of woman you'll never bring home period.

  • hahahaha

  • Cauliflower ears=Easy to hit

  • ok ok i always wondered why so many of the lads at the dojo have thos ears though they were bitten and it was surgery. hahaha we learn something new every day dont we.

  • cauliflower ears are a sign of EXTREME homossexuality.

  • ears show dat ur real fighter, psst its more of a sign dat u bin getting ur ass kicked alot

  • every single ufc champion has cauliflower ear. you just dont have em because your just some guy on youtube talking shit.

  • not everyone frank mir, tim sylvia, fedor, bj, tito dont really hav it

  • frank mir, tim sylvia, fedor, and tito arent ufc champions right now (and im still sure they have it to some degree). and btw bj showed everyone his cauliflower on a UFC primetime show.

  • uh yeah your a complete retard, even champoin fighters have cauliflower ear because theres no way that anybody is going to win all of there fights and not take a punch to the ear or a slam to the mat.

  • umm rampage doesnt have it

  • eww.. its already painful just looking at them.

  • i train jiu/jitsu for about 4 years and never had trouble with cauliflower ears should i worry it just happens one day?

  • if you keep pulling guard like most juijitsu guys you shouldnt have a problem ;)

haha jk you get it mainly from doing alot of greco and clinch. youll probably get it eventually. i first got it after training for about a year.

  • nasty

  • can u get it like fixed or sum shitt haha cuz that would hella suck walkin around with sum fucked up ass ears

  • I do quite a few sports where it can happen but I definitely got mine from Judo and the rubbing of the gi. Kinda look a little wierd on photos with just the right ear looking like a pork chop but hey, headphones fit really well!!! That is the main advantage, that and the whole badge of honor thing. Happy cauliflowering!

  • i would deff drain them because im sure they left out the part whare people say wtf happened to your demented ear lol

  • lmao

  • it feels like your sleeping on a rock LMAO

  • man it sucks, i have it on my left ear from wrestling in highschool. its hard to see because it kinda blends in but i sure can feel the nice lump in my ear.

  • Rugby players get terrible cauliflower ears.

  • I remember getting it holy shit it was a pain the ear doctor pretty much did nothing to help except drain and didn't give the right antibiotics lol

  • its a fighting sport thats not fighting, that makes alot of sense. Put any of your eye pluckers toe to toe with any mma fighter and see what happens. Im predicting knock out in the first minute lol.

  • "You're in there for three-minute rounds with gloves on and a referee. That's not real fighting." - Jack Dempsey (Boxer)

  • Plucking eyes and pulling hair is for faggets and girls i still would like to see u get in a fight with one of these guys JABilbao ur the type of guy that sits back a talks shit, the kind of guy that never fight, the kind of bitch that doesnt have enough balls to say that to a IFL or a UFC fighter so suck the hell up

  • im preety sure all these guys can and would kick ur ass n a fight

  • SCARS is for miltary use primarily, started by miltary and used by military

  • Fuck that shit. Im not getting cauliflower ears, im draining that shit as soon as it starts forming.

  • lol

    yea, that shits ugly man

  • haha, i thought the same as you, but after training BJJ and wrestling for 5 years, the needles fuckin suck! lol and bitches do love the ears, weird i know! lol

  • Nah, man only certain ones do. The ones that even have any idea what they mean. Only the ones that know it means you can take of them. The rest just think you're deformed and don't know why the fuck you look that way.

  • i love this. how can that guy think having mashed up ears is going to get the chicks? does he date blind girls?

  • dats y boxin is dyin out

  • yea boxing is so much like a real fight. i mean you stand there and punch eachother in the head over and over and over. much more exciting than a takedown to pass to side control to an armbar or a choke. or maybe a stand up striking match with knees and elbows. yea your right the one dimensional "sweet science" is so much better than the well rounded multi diciplined mma guy....your a FUCKING TOOL!

  • haha, boxing is for fuckin pussies man, no one willing to fight any one etc etc etc, fucking gay

  • Boxing = the sport of punching

MMA = the sport of fighting

To each their own. Personally, I prefer fighting.

  • ok, thats good for you, but why did you reply to my comment to tell me that? I prefer MMA too, as ive competed in numerous MMA competitions since about 4 years back.

  • mma = the sport of wrestling

  • To WrasslinRyan:

My post was not directed to you; it was to the threadstarter so don't freak out son.

    To Trojan562:

To the untrained eye, MMA would certainly seem like the sport of wrestling but its much more than that. Check out MMA's jiu jitsu, sambo, and judo practitioners and come back to me.

  • ground and pound. grappling..still techniques that are used in wrestling. judo take downs, sambo clinches...same stuff used in wrestling.

    MMA = WRESTLING.

  • Last I checked, you're not allowed to submit people in wrestling. Also, you're completely neglecting the striking aspect of MMA; the Muay Thai, the kickboxing, the boxing, even some Karate.

  • Publis

Sometimes it's more than just pounding on the ground. Ever seen an armbar? Choke out? That is where technique takes place.

  • Yeah, sometimes.

  • I see technique on the ground constantly, what the fuck are you watching?

  • UFC.

  • youve obviously never been taken down by a wrestler before.

  • That has what do with this conversation?

  • everything my man.

im guessing that you havent been taken down by a real wreslter and now i can fully assume that you have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to groundfighting. hence, your opinions on classifying ground fighting as "brawling" with "no technique" are invalid. please find expierence things first hand before you open your mouth to criticize.

  • thats right cause im busy fuckin up the kid on the bottom

  • haha i doubt that. its easy to talk behind a keyboard. go learn some juijitsu before you get hurt little boy.
