@sirensbane17 its a fair criticism. Some people will like what was done in the OVA, and other people won't like what was done. The creator of kenshin (don't remember his name) didn't like the ending, but many others like what was done. That's just how things are.

never saw the OVA read most of the manga liked the anime a lot better don't get me wrong I like the manga but the anime you get to at least see the action in somewhat of real time, also what is the song in the beginning I know that is not part of "And the Story ends". Sano is Kick Ass, Kenshin is also Kick Ass but I like him better in his Battousai state.

He gets it in the manga but then Reflections comes out and says that he dies from leprosy in Kaoru's arms after leaving her to go wandering. Even the mangaka hated the ending of Reflections.

Yes, Reflection was extremely saddening to watch as Kenshin was always meant to be the hero who came out on top. Nobuhiro Watsuki disapproved of Reflection but it was for that very same previously mentioned reason. That doesn't imply Reflection was a 'bad' OVA or even a 'bad sequel' to the legendary series.
I thought it gave a much more beautiful and human-like finish to Kenshin's life story.

I havent seen the movie yet, but the video makes it look great, plus I fuckin love Rurouni Kenshin. I'm also a swordsman myself, so the whole Uber righteous guitar solo section near the end of the song really pumps me up. its just such a great song. and only the opening is made with the song "Bright Eyes" by Blind Guardian. the actual song in the video is "The Story Ends". Such a great video.

Trust and Betrayal focus on Kenshin's life prior to the anime series, and Reflection takes place after. Whatever you do, don't watch them in English. They didn't get the same voice actors so it sounds horrible. Yet, somehow, they managed to get the same Japanese voice actors. Go figure.
Samurai's refection is another OVA but it tells a story of what happens after the Rurouni Kenshin series and it is really sad *tears* it shows how... kenshin dies. :( I cryed so much!!!!!!

Well, to be precise, Samurai X is the name that the translators gave the Rurouni Kenshin series in the USA. Anyway, I guess you could call it "Samurai X - Trust and Betrayal" but it really doesn't matter all that much, since Rurouni Kenshin and Samurai X is basically the same thing. This is an AMV on the Rurouni Kenshin OVA, which tells the story of Kenshin before the stuff in the anime take place.(just thought I should share the info)
this is not a part of the Rurouni Kenshin. it is called "Samurai X: Trist and Betrayal" and is considered by many to be the best anime of all time. Plz dont confuse it with the 90 something episode TV anime that was lame as hell
The show starts to get a lot better when Kenshin accepts an assignment to go back to Kyoto to deal with a manslayer named his successer. He leaves everyone at the dojo behind and prepairs to become the manslayer one last time. Think around episode thirty five or so.
I don't think it'll be as sad as when Wolfwood or Spike died though. They were so awesome. ): I seem to find myself having a hard time getting attached to Kenshin, I don't understand why. He just doesn't seem to have much of a personality in the anime, I guess.

Anyway, I guess you could call it "Samurai X - Trust and Betrayal" but it really doesn't matter all that much, since Rurouni Kenshin and Samurai X is basically the same thing. This is an AMV on the Rurouni Kenshin OVA, which tells the story of Kenshin before the stuff in the anime take place.(just thought I should share the info)

this is not a part of the Rurouni Kenshin. it is called "Samurai X: Trist and Betrayal" and is considered by many to be the best anime of all time. Plz dont confuse it with the 90 something episode TV anime that was lame as hell

The show starts to get a lot better when Kenshin accepts an assignment to go back to Kyoto to deal with a manslayer named his successer. He leaves everyone at the dojo behind and prepairs to become the manslayer one last time. Think around episode thirty five or so.

I don't think it'll be as sad as when Wolfwood or Spike died though. They were so awesome. ): I seem to find myself having a hard time getting attached to Kenshin, I don't understand why. He just doesn't seem to have much of a personality in the anime, I guess.

HAHA, i agree with u there buddy, i love rk second only to bleach (and lately ichigo 100% dont ask why). But as for the amv, hell of a good job (and im glad they didnt do the lame amateur thing where they use the subbed version, something im guilty of myself)

no this is the samurai X ova trust and betrayal there is also reflection witch fits in after the series and when he fight the bandages guy thats not the end there is "tales of the meiji" saga eps 63 - 95

oh, arigato. ye, i kinda new he got married. so nothin ever happens between kenshin and kaoru? coz i read this page on wikipedia saying they get married and hav a kid or somethin and then he goes of and comes back and eventually dies in her arms???
