On top of that the M1 used a different caliber than then the Japanese used. Why would a jap pick up US rifles when he knows he would not get ammo for it

@FloChris it all depepnds on the situation if a US marine is in combat and runs out of ammo and sees an ak in the ground he will pik it up and use it than rather go through a battlefield with no weapon at all . since they have a steady supply of weapons then there is no need that is why u dont see marines with aks

Because they didnt want to do extra work so they used one of the only WW2 weapons that they ported from BF1943.
