hahaha, it has been some time since I commented on this page, but I think I was refering to the entire metro area at the time.

  • Why are you guys living in Windsor pulling it down? I'm sure it's just because you look over the river and see these much taller skyscrappers and much bigger city and instantly feels cheap... but why? you know that any sane people would prefer Windsor to Detroit to live there most of the time (for very obvious reasons)... And so what if you're bored? Cross the bridge and shut-up! If this doesn't solve the problem, then you are the problem; learn to appreciate your city, otherwise move away.

  • Detroit Is Rapidly Losing People, With A Current Population Of About 730,000.

  • Detroit is less than a million, just a little over 900,000 in fact.

  • If my history is correct, during the 1967 detroit riots windsor fire crews were sent to assist detroit fire crews, i belive they were mainly assigned to the west side of detroit. This is my point, we are neighbours and thats all that needs to be said.

  • because USA and Canada are the worlds largest trading partners The trade across Ambassador Bridge between Windsor and Detroit alone is equal to all the trade between the United States and Japan. At the end of the day while I myself may have some animosity towards some aspects detroit as i'm sure residents of detroit have about windsor, windsor and detroit are still neighbours and have a very close relationship to each other. for example:

  • wow.............I'm surprised there is even an argument about this windsor and detroit are two very different cites. The windsor population is about 260,000 while the detroit population is ,I think , a little under 6 million, I mean detroit has an international airport, that should illiustrate the difference in size alone. Then both cites have a difference of politics and cultures which makes them unique to each other.

  • @drfye lol 6 million,try 800,000 or so

  • I hate living in Windsor. It sucks.

  • I hate living in Windsor. It sucks.

  • I hate living in Windsor. It sucks.

  • Windsor is a lot better place to live than Detroit

  • WTF! I cannot believe this video that I took threse days three years ago has got 44 comments.

  • man, who the fuck cares, detroit and windsor are shitholes, i have lived in both, we should be tight, like brothers, we back u americans up in war, and u americans back us up, i have no problems with detroit or anything

  • dude i live in windsor and theres literally nothing to do there

  • there are things to do in windsor. obviously not as much as detroit but its not like there is literally nothing.

  • There would be not much of windsor if it wasnt for American kids going there to party every weekend.

  • Are Americans allowed in Windsor? It doesn't look vandalized...

  • uuh parts of windsor outside of downtown are indeed pretty ugly. For sure Detroit's urban blight far surpasses Windsor's, i acknowledge that, but if this is the only factor youre considering when rating a city, this conversation is pointless.

  • @Ukrainatrain you're comparing a city that has 300,000 people to a city with 5,300,000 so do you expect windsor to win in all of those categories? but hey at least windsor is better than detroit in some areas like safety, cleanliness, schooling, housing etc

  • No, you're right, they are just two different cities. Any larger city will have more stuff to do, which was part of my point. Schooling and housing? i guess if you look at the average. Although there are a few magnet high schools in the D like Cass Tech, Universities and really impressive housing in midtown, downtown, palmer park, neighborhoods near grosse pointe etc.. So i guess on average its worse, because there is a full spectrum of extremes in every category.

  • @Ukrainatrain i go to cass tech now

  • Fuck you all US & CA !!!

What the hell are you talking about.

  • fuck detroit, red wings can suck my balls they lost to a cry baby lmfao. windsor stand the fuck up.

  • Fuck Windsor. Detroit stand up

  • english please you fuckin ackmed gfjhfjf hjjhjfj paki sqauk n

  • detroit is a shithole half those buildings are abandoned

  • There's way more culture and stuff to do in Detroit. Windsor is only fun if you want to drink with a bunch of frat douchebags

  • wtf since when was there culture in north america? this shit isnt culture try visiting europe

  • I am European and spent many years of my life there, thank you. Of course you take the easy road and point out the undeniable urban blight which resulted from racial riots and declining manufacturing base. However, I am impressed with very strong local music and art scene, architecture and universities in Detroit, to which you are obviously ignorant. I like Windsor too, but for different reasons - mostly for the nightlife fueled by Detroiters who are too young to drink in the US

  • I meant culture in relative terms to Windsor. European and American cultures are defined in very different ways. Not sure about Canadian culture. If you want, I can sit here and tell you about Detroit's contributions to American culture, and it's presence today, if you care...

  • true true, u make a good argument

  • and if culture u mean by a bunch of burnt down houses cuz of the great fire, abandoned buildings and black ppl shooting each other, then yeah i guess detroit has a lot more culture then windsor

  • or you might mention motown and the development of the rhythm and blues "motown" sound and the city's huge influence on the hip hop movement. The music the world listens to has been hugely influenced by Detroit. Some people who don't like that type music might think ithat's a bad thing, but the influence on worldwide culture is undeniable nonetheless.

  • yugoterror. Actually, I was referring to the Fox Theater, DIA, live jazz and techno shows every weekend, Orchestra hall, CCS, Wayne State, countless architectural landmarks like the Guardian building, Fisher building, Penobscott.... etc. all of which you probably will never see because you are stuck in some sleepy suburb like Sterling Heights and are too afraid to go downtown because you heard there are abandoned buildings there.

  • detroit is a dirty city-i go out there sometimes-i see houses that are boxed up-buildings that are destroyed-people on the street(homeless)-so windsor barely has any of that

  • Yeah... because Canada is paradise. Give me a break, I would say Canada, especially Windsor is a lot more depressing.

  • Detroit is bigger, but at least in Windsor you do not have that fear of being shot or stabbed.

  • Go cum on your boyfriends face you cant say shit bout canada bitch

  • i'd destroy your life in a second you fuckin hick american inbred swine.

  • ur just a little cunt, windsor would crush u

  • I'd say neither.

    Both are pretty horrible places.

    I hate living in Windsor.

When I go over to Detroit, I get scared.

  • pshhh Detroit would win. It's bigger, more people, more fun even though it has more crime.
