  • Sweet!

  • very nice and i'm not the sort of guy who sais that often even i understand what is to do and my english sucks and i don't even play guitar but i think i'll buy one does it cost more if i want a guitar where the strings are not so tight together ? coause i have even bigger fingers than you thanks if you answer

  • @feofox6 strings far apart = Classical guitar. Electric guitars usually dont go much wider than 1 5/8"

  • @feofox6 cost is more about brand name and parts used than the witdh. i would suggest to go down to the local guitar store and try out different guitars and see what feels comfortable to you. at first, most of them will. i have big fingers but got used to playing regular sized electric guitars. you can also check out Gelvin Guitars and see if they would make one custom sized for you.

  • @feofox6 hay una guitarra buena q se llama 6T-400 yo al compre por la misma rason en el mango las cuerdas esta muy juntas y encima es metalera te recomiendo la GT-400 epifon asi GT-400 epifon

  • i like the way it sounds :) very metal like x) <3 you play good you should be in a badass band dude !

  • I ain't hating or anything but Drop D sounds better than what your using but overall it 4/5 stars because of but you did good and done your best just use drop d

  • Great lesson, this time I will learn this song.

  • I dont understand how i can make that special sound .. does anybody have a video where he shows it ?

  • @WillsEasyGuitar Im just picking up a guitar about a week ago and I was curious how do you make your guitar sound so fucking metal like that? Bc mines is just plugged straight into an apm and i doesnt have that sound to it.

  • @uncleallo high gain, distortion pedal.

  • @uncleallo buy a distortion pedal

  • Your amp sounds awesome!!! Its so epic. And thanks for the lesson. It was easy to learn! Thumbs up.

  • great man!!!

    check my vesion

    youtube.com/watch?v=PJP2LTqH8yc

  • Hey thanks alot man your a great teacher. This gave me something to do tonight!

  • Thanks a lot dude

  • nice metallica fan teachin guitar ftw

  • awesome lesson

  • @willseasyguitar do you know the verse?

  • im not beginner but im really stupid

  • what are your pickups your using? they sound awesome!

  • Its easy to learn beacuse you have BIG fingers thanks.

  • @luc00leh the size of my fingers caused me to have a harder time learning how to play. the tips of them make it hard to only hit on string at a time. most guitarists i know have long skinny fingers which makes it easier for them to be accurate.

  • @luc00leh its much easier with skiny fingers cause if you got big fngers they cover to much 0.o

  • good video an metalica is the masters of the metal ok

  • sounds freakin sick dude nice job

  • I think it can be play just by bending the fith string on the third thread, ,then six thread play once, that is easier for bigginers,I think

  • Thank you heaps man, this helped me loads!

Well done and keep up the good tutorials :D

  • i learnt the intro a little different. i start with an A5 position. still i think your way sounds cooler. Maybe my way is wrong?

  • the effect makes it sound crappy you need a distortion. and i found it easy to play the song in Drop D its alot less work then what you have for beginners

  • @ThreatofDoom good for you....and suck a bowl of dicks. if you dont like my lessons, dont watch them and piss off.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar I love the "suck a bowl of dicks" line, but yeah that is an assload of spring reverb. I applaud your lesson, don't get me wrong!

  • @WillsEasyGuitar HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! GOOD for you, Wills!!! And THANK YOU for making my day with the HUGE laugh!!! Btw - I found your lesson to be EXACTLY what I was looking for and SOOOOO HELPFUL!! Thank you!

    Dale

  • @ThreatofDoom drop d is not for beginners shitface!

  • i love u.....:(but i have a classic and it hears shity..:P

  • @Mitsi010109 a classical guitar? if you have one, use it to learn the introductions for alot of the metallica songs. its really good to learn those on. :)

  • @WillsEasyGuitar :)i know....I've learned a lot and foun a lot by my self...i would love to see u make a video for the day that never come....(:Pi just found the solo and want to see if i found it the right way)...u rock

  • are you playing an evh wolfgang guitar?

  • it's not really beginner beginner, is more like advangedxD

but, it rlly helps. i subbed.

  • I Love Floyd Rose, but tuning is a torture!!!

    :-)

    Good Video, thx Thumps up

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! ive been wanting to play this for a while... Im very new to guitar and i picked this up in about 15 minutes. THANKS!!! :D great tutorial also. :D

  • what tuning is it

  • @mrheadhunter66647 my tuning is as follows.... e a d g b e i know they tune down one full step for the album but the point of the lesson is how to play it, not how to sound exactly like the album. i rarely play metallica songs so i dont keep any of my guitars tuned down a whole step. for my van halen stuff, i do have guitars tuned down a half step.
  • @WillsEasyGuitar i thought that it sounded a little off. the song is written in drop D i believe.

  • thanks,really helpful

  • hey dude thanks a lot this vid is really helpfull for newbs thanks a lot

P.D. my neighbours wanted me to tell you that they will hunt you down! lol

  • @biomarley2000 no prob.

oh, and tell your neighbors ill be expecting them. Im assuming they will be the ones with beards wearing dresses.

  • wats da effect called as n wat r da setting of it...pls tell me

  • @karsun6218 in this i was using my GNX 4 with the wrong settings really for this song.

    i would use

distortion, gain, reverb (light), light chorus or flanger, light delay, heavy bass and treb, middle mid range on the eq. if you have resonance and presence, use both liberally.

  • wats da effect called as n wat r da setting of it...pls tell me

  • DUDE! I LOVE THIS SONG! great job by the way! =] luv ya!

  • how do u get that disted sound on 3:36-3:38 ?

  • @hahahavictorsmile thats when i do a bend and an artificial harmonic (pinched harmonic) if your having problems with these, i have another video that teaches how to do them.

    thanks for watching.

  • lol the greatest problem i have is that my guitar cannot do the sounds your does

  • @QynTheKing its probably your gear. more than likely your amp. its best to buy an effects unit from digitech or korg or boss, etc for a hundred or so dollars. this will give you what your looking for.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar I think he refers to the pinch harmonics!

  • @piresjunior without the gear the harmonics wont jump out at you. i also have a lesson on how to do pinched harmonics if thats the case. usually, when i see a message like that it because the person is using a small practice amp that kills their sound.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar This is the part were the dude u replied goes 'THANKS KING'

  • thats hella sick thanks man!!!

  • thats easy thanx man

  • how is this for beginners? haha its kinda hard.

  • @DanielGulutz best way to learn is jump in with both feet. when you first start learning everything is kind of hard.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar I agree. I'm a beginner, playing for a couple months now, guitar is a VERY difficult instrumental to play, but you have to fail a couple time before you come around success ya know? Thanks for the by the way, it helped! :]

  • @DanielGulutz the key is trial and error my friend

  • Hot damn man. That was some good stuff.

People told me it was best to start learning on acoustic guitar. Now I'm pissed that I actually listened.

  • @74Boss3StarG i went straight to electric because it toughens up your fingers because acoustic is harder :)

  • @cartmanrulez32 Lol. I should have done the same. Plus, for the songs I want to play, it sounds better on electric guitar. I'm going to check out a few guitars this weekend. Tried learning Andy Mckee's songs on acoustic, but that guy must have been born with a guitar in his hand, because I just can't get it. Lol.

  • you are...perfect

  • thanks, but im far from it.

  • nice job dude ... perfect guitar (Y)

  • what guitar to you have??

  • im using a modified strat in this. i added a dmazario humbucking pickup (yngwies pickup) and i put a floydrose on there.

Im using a GNX4 for the amp and effects.

  • tx 4 the sweet spot on harmonics

  • Thanks Will your great

  • I HAVE THAT GUITAR!!!!!!! but my necks black

  • talk to you later...lmao

  • Teach me the solo please

  • Are you using D standard?

  • my tuning is as follows....

    e

    a

    d

    g

    b

    e

i know they tune down one full step for the album but the point of the lesson is how to play it, not how to sound exactly like the album.

i rarely play metallica songs so i dont keep any of my guitars tuned down a whole step.

for my van halen stuff, i do have guitars tuned down a half step.

  • yeah that would be a pain to down tune a floyd for just one song lol

  • Dude thanks u helped me alot I wuld give u 5/5 but I can't rate =(

  • Rock on bro!

  • no matter how hard i try or how much i practice, i just cant grasp how to do a pull off =(

  • when u strum the string,to do a pull off,u gotta pull the string downand let go real fast as if ur strumming with ur finger. i would make a vid for that, but my webcam doesnt have a mic.

  • oh ok, that kinda helps, i understand the theory of it, its just i cant physically do it for some reason.

  • that's what she said *_*

  • lolzz

i don't have have a problem with pull offs.

power chords on the other hand...

  • okay its like this, take your index and ring finger and put them on the3rd and 5th fret on the big e string, now pluck the the string with them both on there, then pull your ring finger off

  • you rock dude it helps with my learning

  • small practice amps sometimes dont really give you the sound your looking for. if you have a squire with single coil pickups it could be the reason. also, im not using an amp in this video, im using a GNX4 plugged into studio monitors. it also sounds different on tape than it does in real life. i would have to see your settings and your guitar to know for sure what the problem is. i also have some effects (ones i shouldnt be using) being used on here.

  • I dont know why my amp wont make the same sound as yours. i have a fender frontman 15g amp and i have a fender squire guitar. It may be my tuning but my amp should make that noise regardless.

    Please help!! tyvm

    Yosh

  • ok dude..thx..im going to learn this song soon..

  • what kind of settings?..i love that e cutting sound

  • im not really using the settings i should in this lesson. in this i was using my GNX4 through some studio speakers. the strat im using in this i modified so its sound is a bit thinner than usual. im using a DiMarzio HS-3 in the bridge and i installed an original floyd rose.

i should have used a recitifer with high gain and one of my ibanez's.

these settings are med high gain, delay, chorus, heavy reverb. these are more for "posion" sounds and 80's rock.
