i suggest you go to google and find muzzle flashes in images and put them to 1 1/2 frames and when you save them import them then chroma key the black make sure you put about 1 1/2 2 frames

Thanks. I do have some better muzzle flash images on video which I haven't used yet. I got them at detonation films. They have some that are free and some for sale. the fewer frames would make for much better flashes as you mentioned. Thanks.

Thanks. I use Magix Pro 14 which is a low cost software editor. It has many effects, video and audio. Its best feature, I think, is it has almost unlimited tracks.

Thanks. The disappearing is a clone effect with a split screen. I used it in many of the later Jokes videos where I talk to myself.

Thanks. I am using Magix Pro 14. That sometimes is available as a used product or even new unwrapped occasionally. They have a new Magix Pro 15 which is similar but which has more features. It costs about $60 but there are discount prices at some sites.

Thanks. Most of the video effects were done in the earliest days of filming. The new video technologies are now making those same effects affordable. I did work in the movie industry for many years but not in the effects. I was a fan of the effects wizards.

The muzzle effects are just still jpeg pictures that I put over the video. The hole in the head is a use of green screen with a video of the same location in the background to show through the green posterboard cutout of a circle on my forehead held there with double sided tape. The clone effect is done with Magix 14 but probably most video editors can do that by splitting the same video into a left and right side with a cropping tool. Check green screen tutorials for more info.

My videos get uploaded to my computer as quicktime files thanks to itunes i guess, I was wondering if you knew of any editing programs that are for quicktime, I've tried looking but come up with some less than reputable sites that I wasn't sure I should trust. Great video btw.

Thanks. I think most video editors do support mov files which are QuickTime, but read the specs before you buy a software program. I use the Magix software which can support mov files and many other file inputs and exports. Good luck.

I think the color and lighting on the green is uppermost in importance. I want to try some other green screen things because it is so much fun. I would like to see you use a greenscreen effect and maybe be two people in one scene. Also cloning is a good way to double yourself. I am going to watch your new video now.

Thanks. Just keep at it and watch some of the old Hollywood B movies with monster effects and you will get many ideas for fun movies. I am not a fan of the current blockbuster special effects. I like the fun in cheap effects. Just keep making videos and you will surprise yourself.

Yes. Also the imagination was allowed to enter into our perception back then. I was a big fan of Buster Keaton. He used camera tricks often. I liked the scene in the Gene Kelly movie where he danced with Mickey Mouse I believe. The creativity is what I find most appealing. The current use of million dollar effects does not do much for me.
