You might want to check the warmachines rules again - in 8th edition you don't divide hits between the crew and the engine anymore. Just roll against machine's toughness, crew are there just to show how many wounds the whole model has. That's bad thing about elven BT - it now just has two wounds...

@jamatheo yes, we noticed that afterwards. We have to recheck couple of more things, 7th edition is much more different, and old habits die hard lol. About the elven BT-poor them, really, now they are not OP because of that rule ;P. Just kidding a bit, this rule actually makes more sense, and to be honest, High elves really don't care that much even if the BT has only 2w now. They are still tough nut to crack. @dreamspiritwar you might have done the whole "shooting at the warmachines" wrong.. But if you shot with str 3, the result will be the same with both 7th and 8th rules (statistically).

So it is definitely no biggie :)

cool battle. one thing though, each bolt thrower could only have killed 2 glave guard as the glave guard unit had 2 ranks. somehow the bolt thrower killed 4. did u read the rules properly?

@Frostbite528 Thanks for the comment mate, we read the rules, not properly though lol, but as far as elven bolt throwers, they can choose to shoot 6 times instead of once. Now if that wasn't changed in errata, those are valid rules. Cheers!

@dreamspiritwar i just checked the bolt thrower thing and they have the volley special rule. didnt know this. i dont collect high elves

both are fun ofcourse but opinions would be nice

@hepalamukala it depends. WH 40K is much popular, but I personally don't find sci-fi very inspirational. I'll always rather play fantasy with Dragons and regiments thank with tanks. The question is what do you like better? Laser guns or flashing steel :)

and as for who will win.... too hard to say. I have a feeling that the Sea Guard's little trek around the hill will be costly, but then a lot of their units remain intact... and once they reach combat they'll do lots of damage...!

@Blackhound61 indeed that wasn't the bes move in the world. Especially when he already was near Anvil of Vaul, and my Treekin were bellow Bane Stone. But he forgot about that luckily for me, otherwise they would be destroyed. Cheers.

@shotou yes well, to tell you the truth, I thought the same thing. I was a WE player. I guess he wanted to soften me enough so he can later on just go through my lines. However, my two main units were hidden behind Sorcerous Portal which helped a bit. Thanks for the comment mate, I appreciate it.

@dreamspiritwar Did he cast Throne of Vines two turns in a row? I didn't see you dispell it in your turn, did he forget it was a remains in play spell?

@shotou He probably did forgot about that. We haven't played warhammer in sucha long time, so those kinds of things are to be expected in the beginning, like tha for shooting on warmachines for example, we also made a mistake there. hopefully, there are people like yourself that are wiling to point out on mistakes so we won't make them again :)

Tense so far, could swing either way.. I'm going to say... Wood Elves.

Fun game so far, more twists and turns and magical madness than a normal game usually sees.. strange times these storms of magic.

@Lostsoul1889 It really was a fun game, and a lot of carnage follows. However, this is not a game of Storm of Magic, we've been out of Warhammer for a year, so we're just learning the rules with the regular game for now.
