@MastaEss Aww, that's cool...I think many people found this song because of the Harry and Paul show...ooh, I never knew Massive Attack did a cover of this, I have to check it out
@UltimateVenom As much as I am a fan of Massive Attack and with Horace Andy's vocals on their version of this tune is fantastic.. You just cannot touch the original done by The Paragons
i think not!.....they are ok...but not on the elite list....i didnt even mention others like ethophians...uniques...only two other vocal groups i can add to list... and thats the abbasinniyians and toots and the maytals!
paragons....are considered arguably the best vocal group to come out of jamaica....with others like heptones....wailers...techiques...mighty diamonds...black uhuru...tamlins...wailing souls
Great version but also check out a female version by Jewels (The Man Next Door) or Jewels and the Jacuzzis which really catches the emotions behind the song!
Great version but also check out a female version by Jewels (The Man Next Door) or Jewels and the Jacuzzis which really catches the emotions behind the song!
Try Max Romeo with " Every man ought to know", "no peace" and " out of space". Horace Mandy is a great reggear singer too and of course, you should listen to the massive attack cover of Pharagons " Man next door".
Such good vibes from this tune. I hunted it down a while ago after hearing Poison Flour by Dr Alimantado and thought I might pay this video a visit... much love to the uploader... Hard to think that this guy also wrote Police In Helicopter... shoulda stuck to this style I reckon!
Hi i have been looking for this song for ages! lol and just found it but cant find a link to download it anywhere! would you know where i could find this on the internet??
Yeah that's what I thought, but I could never find any recordings of it. Apparently Holt wrote it, but I'm on here trying to find the one that was used in Harry & Paul, never heard that version before.
boomshel23, I only said the Slits (of which Ari Up was one member, as you say) did a worthy version. I don't see how this is a comparison, it's just a comment.
