  • gotta love that vferitas strength

  • @Whatdoyoucallittt It's a good one

  • great catch man!

  • awesome video man what part of florida is that?

  • @juggalojaybiotch Thank you. Port Saint Lucie

  • what kind of reel is that ? and nnnnnnice video .

  • @ObJeCTNatioN Thanks. It's an Abu Garcia Revo Inshore.

  • Nice fish but my 5 pounder was that size maybe bigger!

  • @FishHuntCook That's a big 5 pounder

  • @phytobedo Haha nice fish thought swim jiggin is funnn

  • nice fish i use a e21 carrot stix

  • @247airsoft Cool, so do I.

  • Nice fish way to let it go...for me to catch

  • @BENNY361 No prob

  • I have the same exact shimano sellus worm and jig rod

  • @Bonkers4Annebell Mine is an Abu Garcia Veritas.

  • i always dream of catching a bass that big! haha very nice bass man.

  • @crazybassfisher Thanks. Just keep casting.

  • Nice catch. She's a fighter! What kind scale are you using?

  • @Unplugged704 It's a rapala, and yes, she is a fighter alright.

  • can u tell us what kinda swim jig?

  • @TRUUUKTER Check out the description. Thanks for watching.

  • hands down, this is your best video. I always come back to watch this one...have it saved in my favorites. What a sick bass, wat a sick strike...nd wat a sick bait!

  • @Bbfishman Thanks for the nice comments! I'll keep posting as long as I keep catching!

  • @Bbfishman I wish you could see the strike better on the video. She ambushed it and pinned it against the bank. It wouldn't have mattered what kind of line, leader, color of the bait, or anything else i was using. That bass attacked it with 100% conviction. I think when the big fish want to eat and decide to exert their energy, that's it. They don't play around.

  • Im in cali bass fishing over here is pretty good Also

  • Really nice bass bro where r u fishing ????

  • @Allupnu4sho I'm in Florida. You?

  • Nice hawg! Rippem' n' lip em'!

  • @softwireman thanks!

  • Dude, nine pounds my ass. Idiot...

  • is there any difference between a swim jig and a flipping jig? Please if you know, please describe the differences in detail, i'm curious and can't seem to find any information online

  • @1995Blackrosedying Go to the tacklewarehouse website and look at the jig section. They have the different types sorted out, and you can see what the differences are. I think they're very similar and will both work flipping or swimming.

  • nice fish dude!

  • @TheSCFisher Thank you

  • It's pretty sad how this teambass2000 has nothing better to do than rip on other fishing videos probably because he doesn't catch nice fish.

    Great video man!

  • A donkey!!!!

  • @naranjo3504 indeed

  • Awesome jump!! Nice bass!

  • @mmmmmarcus Thanks

  • @Ravensfootball1199 Thanks. This is my favorite swim jig. Dirty Jigs swim jig or California swim jig. Find them on line at tacklewarhouse

  • I just ordered the same set up except a different color. NIce bass. Cant wait to go out and try it out!

  • Awesome pal- looks like you and I do about the exact same style of fishing- all retention in FL. Saw KVD using swim jigs a couple days ago- going to give it a go! Nice pull my friend- love it when they slam it up close

  • Abu garcia is only good for reels not so good on rods.. i just broke mind veritas on a 5 pound bass..

  • @561Juancho Sorry to hear that. I hope they replaced it for you. I broke mine too, but they sent me a new one.

  • were you using braided line?

  • @xXJ03Xx1 Yes. 50 lb Spiderwire Stealth Braid.

  • What part of Florida is that cuz I'm in west palm?

  • @SouthernBASSpros Port Saint Lucie

  • @mikey13skater It's called 'Dill Gill". It's kind of blue/brown/green.

  • nice job

    !

  • @TublifeEST1996 Thanks

  • is that a veritas

  • @MrNetbait123 You got it.

  • Stick with Ugly Stick rods...Shakespere reels... No breakage.... ugly is the best

  • @Sn00kyCr00ksWorld No they are not, not even close to the sensitivity of the veritas or other high end rods. Plus shakespeare reels are made of plastic and will break on you easy, especially with big fish

  • hay is this salt water because theres like shells on the ground but you got a bass?? how does that work?

  • @BassKid1996 Good observation, but it's fresh water. Florida dirt is full of shells.

  • nice jig!!

  • @shadmxify Very nice, thanks to Dirty Jigs and Tacticalbassin.

  • Nice bass..!!! I have to try that swimbait rig on Kissimmee.

  • @bassangler33880 It should work great. Wind it through all those pads.

  • nice bass

  • @SPRObro58 graicas

  • Nice vid hate the pole I bought the blue one and it broke on a 7 8 pound it sucks

  • @youthinkyourbigman I didn't know they made a blue one. Mine broke once, but Abu Garcia replaced it for free.

I jammed it into a tree.

  • @TheForsakenone666 It's a good rod, especially for $100.

  • greatvid big bass! sub back thanks

  • hey what kind of reel is that?

  • @SoCalBassMasta99 Abu Garcia Revo Inshore. Gear ratio 6.4: 1

  • what rod is that

  • @ksbassmaster It's an Abu Garcia Veritas. 7 ft, heavy action

  • nice bass what type of swim jig??

  • @koryfishing Dirty Jigs swim jig. 1/2 oz with a 5 inch Roboworm EZ shad swimbait. Check out tacticalbassin to learn all about them.

  • Abu Garcia Revo Inshore

  • what type of reel is this? just wondering

  • what time of day is this?

  • id say that bass is about 6 not 9

  • @TheRealIceman863 I trust my scale

  • @TheRealIceman863 you can think watever you want but in my opinion that was an easy 9. a six would be about that legnth but skinnier. that fish had some beef on it

  • @TheRealIceman863 my rule is if you cant fit your fist in ists mouth and its tight 5/6 if its loose about an inch 10 or up it is surprisingly accurate thought

  • @TheRealIceman863 and that's why you're not a scale :)

doesn't look anywhere close to 6lbs...

  • @TheRealIceman863 agreed!

  • @TheRealIceman863 yo im not talkin smack or anything but ive caughten 5 lbers and they looked like 2lbers and ive caughten 4lbers and i made them look like 6lbers. the point im tryin to make is you cnt call the fishes weight unless you were there, BUT the fish doesnt look like a nine but more of a six.

  • @TheSnook4life Caughten?? really??

  • @TheRealIceman863 id say its 69

  • @TheRealIceman863 lol thats def 9

  • Who disliked this?

  • oops nvmd didnt read description disregard the comment

  • do u think u could put up a link of the swimbait trailer and jig u used looking of buying some of those

  • Wow that was a nice bass,Nice catch and release, fishing swim jigs are my favorite, do u or anyone else know of a spinning open face reel that is good and around 40-50 dollars, thanks

  • @MrBassfishin13 Thanks! As far as a reel goes, I have a Daiwa Exceller taht costs about $50. It's not the best, but It works for me when I use finesse techniques. A very good reel at $99 is the Shimano Symmetre. More expensive, but a lot more reel.

  • @phytobedo Thanks, ill check out the daiwa exeller.

  • have to love the excitement of seeing it jump and praying you get the big ens in...

  • @robbylawson Yeah buddy. I would rather the big ones not jump, but they always do!

  • @robbylawson thats why i would rather largemouth fish 6 days of the week and twice on sundays rather than go to points and throw in a shakey head rig getting bit by spots all day...

  • Nice man, what was your rod/reel setup?

  • @Flippinstick1 Thanks. Its a 7 ft heavy Abu Garcia Veritas and a Abu Garcia Revo Inshore

  • @Flippinstick1 Spooled with 50 lb Spider Wire Stealth braid

  • @phytobedo Nice man. I got a Dobyns Champion 735c today. You should definitely check out the Dobyns rods. Check out my uploads too!

  • I'm going to fish post spawn tomarrow the weather is 85+ and the water temp is 75+ should I look for those bass still hanging around the beds and pitch to them or wat ????

  • @MrRedfishhunter You live in Texas apparently, and I live in Florida. I have no idea what stage the bass are in in Texas. Don't worry about strategy too much, just let the fish tell you what to do. They should be active if it's that warm, so go out with a search bait until you find them. Then, start to put things together, like if your catching them near beds, grass, open water etc. Talk to Hatcambass, he might be able to help you with what stage Texas bass are in right now.

  • nice bass

  • @jigginjoe94 thanks joe

  • Great fish, great videos. Florida bass fishing is just amazing.

  • @korling121 Thank you! Yes it is!

  • what trailer and jig were u using?

  • @TheBassCatcher100 check out the description

  • @phytobedo oh, now i feel dumb, but thanks

  • @TheBassCatcher100 that's ok, I always feel dumb!

  • Is that an Abu Garcia Veritas?

  • @StanleyTheOscar You got it

  • @phytobedo Haha I just got that rod... it snapped in half after a week of having it, but then I got a new one and I've landed plenty of bass on it, including a 6 pounder. I was using it in saltwater when it snapped. I had the biggest sea trout of my life on that pole haha then when we were heading back, I was tieing on leader and I pulled on the leader to test the knot and the rod just snapped lol

  • @StanleyTheOscar That's too bad. I hope they're not prone to breaking.

  • WOW! my bass faught the exact same way and looked like mine when it jumped out of the water! thanks for sharing the video man, itwas great. gunna have to try that lure

  • @TheCoolskaterboy Thanks, she was a great fighter

  • what kind of scale were you using? i need to buy a new one but i dont know which to get!

  • @dager925 It's a Rapala. I think it was around $40.

  • Nine pounds huh? Showed everything but what the scale said.

  • @hardnecker I tried to show it, but I stepped too close to the camera. It's hard to know what your filming when you take your hatcam off and prop it up in a bush to get a shot.

  • Daaaamn!!! nice fish dude, can not wait to get my hatcam!!!

  • @eightballx6x Thanks, post some fishing videos when you get it!

  • whats up man!!! wow!! she smacked it right when the retrieve was almost done!! nice setup, that was an awesome video! thumbs up!

  • @bassfishing247 Thanks man, I can't believe we hadn't come across each others videos before!

  • @phytobedo lol! i know dude! im glad we did bro. im looking forward to watching your vids!

  • @FishingDMV Thank you!

  • I have some family that lives in Orlando, I'm thinking about taking a vacation if KY weather does not straiten up soon. What kind if reel are you using?

    Thanks.

    Darrell

  • @kybluesnbass This one's an Abu Garcia Revo Inshore. 6.4:1 gear ratio

  • I made a you tube video of what are waters look like right now if you want to check it out. There is a boat ramp 40' under the water there and this is about one half mile from the ohio river.

  • @kybluesnbass i'll check it out

  • Nice fish Dave. Man it has rain so much up here in Ky. that every thing is flooded and looks like chocolat milk . It will take months for it to get right again.. The water looks a little low there I will send you some of this rain OK ..

  • @kybluesnbass We actually have drought conditions, so I'll take a little rain from you!

  • Dam i wish my area had 9lbs bass we be lucky to see 7lbs

  • @TeamRippnLipz1 You never know what might be lurking in your waters, but even so, 7 pounders are a prize in themselves!

  • @phytobedo Yea i now everyone in my area that bass fishes. And i have been fishing my area for 25yrs nothing over 7lbs... We got to long of winters for the bass to grow enough you know... But i wouldn't have it any other way i love it no matter what

  • nvm about the where he striked you said 1foot? DAMN!

  • @EGOTTLIEB12 1 foot, 3 feet, I'm not sure, but it was right at my feet

  • I had 2 watchi it again! HD baby! hahaha, how close did he take it? It looks like 3-4 feetin front you, Also there really is such things as flying pigs! Crazy acrobatics fir such a big fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NICE!!!!!!!!!! 10/10

  • @EGOTTLIEB12 That close strike almost blew my heart valve off! She was strong too. That rod is heavy action with 50 lb Spider Wire, and you can see how much it bent the rod and ripped drag.

  • thats too awesome! wish i can do some bassing here right now.

  • @haisplaubhighplow a lot of people are in your same predicament

  • hey is the 7' medium heavy? cuz i like the way the action looks

  • @carrotstixfishing It's heavy action. It probably looks medium heavy because that fish was raw power! It's very stiff.

  • @phytobedo yeah it looks real nice, alright thanks man, and nice fish!

  • phytobedo always great to see you catch those monsters. Keep them coming. Went to lake O and caught over 50 bass but nothing over 5. I would rather of caught that 9 lber than numbers anyday.

  • @Gonefishin744 Hey, a 50 bass day doesn't sound too bad to me!

  • Nice fish dude, one more pound to go to break that 10 pound mark.

  • @mikeybalzzfishing That seems to be the heaviest pound

  • like this if u were asking the same question: When are you going 2 let it go?

  • @fishing4ever123 I don't understand you

  • Nice catch and video.

  • @truebalsamhogs Thanks for the comments!

  • That was great and congragulations on your awesome fish!

  • @pelletgun12 Thanks a lot!
