New Orleans is still an Amazing place (i live there) but Ive heard lots of stories about the Old New Orleans. It was said to be the Jewel of the Gulf Coast the ultimate combination of all the cultures of the world... then something happened... the streets became littered.. the beaches and camps closed down... The city was overrun by crime.. but even after all of that I wouldn't give up liven here for anything it truly is a great place to grow up.

Great video! You all are right, New Orleans stays with you forever. There's a certain lore about the city that grows on you like no other, and suddenly you drift back to the good times and can't wait until you can once again go back. New Orleans USED to be such a GREAT city; Now public schools are the worst in the nation; so much drug and gang violence. And on top of that a crooked Police Force. Oh to be able to go back 50 years when it was still a GREAT, SAFE city....Gone with the wind (Katrina)

I miss how a flood of homeless run up to me to bum a smoke when I light one up,or the smell of urine and vomit of the French Quarter on certain nights .I even miss the crackhead lady that flashed me some nasty looking boobs for no reason .
