  • amazing!

  • @Goodwill300 What sort of music are you looking to play?

  • @croydon42, Im thinking about either buying the nord piano, or i can get a low price on the nord stage ex 88. Which u recommend is better for a starting player.

  • Very good..there is purpose in life for you..dig deep with God and you'll find it......

  • Thank you so much for your advice !!! you made great job guy !! keep it up !

  • Fantastic sound. It is so much better then the Kronos I have listened to. The Kurzweil PC3K is nice but they new to update their systems. Nord seems to stay up with the times.

  • great demo!!!!! one of the best

  • Really nice keyboard from NORD!

You mentioned the keys on this unit are comfortable for playing

Does your Stage 2 have semi-weighted or synth action?

What size keyboard 76 or 66????

  • @adrianh63 It's the full length 88 key with fully weighted action. To be honest I'd say I slightly prefer the yamaha action, but this is perfectly playable and has really quick bounce back - which they've improved since the stage 1.

  • Hi guy, could you tell me which is your numeric audio interface to have a so good quality recing sound ? thanks in advance an enjoy the sound !!

  • @Cityangel38 Hi! I'm recording this through a PreSonus Firestudio, but as long as you've got something with reasonable pre-amps it'll come out sounding lovely.

  • U really should start giving lessons (or u already started), u are really a nice guy who makes player motivated to play. I never played the piano before, I'm a guitar played. But i started 2 weeks ago with piano, and gonna buy myself a Roland Fp4f. I also like the nord but so pricey for a beginner haha. thanks for the video i enjoyed it.

  • @tijmenjanssen Hi... It is connected via the outputs from Ch1 and Ch2 but it sounds too me like your problem is to do with the balanced signals. I'm pretty sure the Nord outputs are unbalanced, so if you're using TRS connectors into your monitors it will sounds tinny as you describe. Try using unbalanced jack leads, or go via a mixer into your monitors. There's also the old trick of pulling the jack leads out a little on the back of your monitors.

  • @croydon42 Thanks, I'll try that. One other thing.. How about your keys? some keys of mine don't have even pressure. Some have more resistance than others, making it very hard to play subtle parts, did you experience the same problem? I'm thinking about returning it and swapping it with a new one...

  • @tijmenjanssen I haven't experienced that at all! The action is really even across the board.

  • Hi, i have a question, how did you connect the nord for recording? I see you have monitoring speakers which do not give a flattering sound, if you know what i mean. Did you use the CH1 and CH2 output with a normal TRS connector? I have connected mine directly to my MSP7 Studio monitors, at CH1 and CH2, but there it sounds really awefull, very much like you are listening to it in a very small box with too much reverb, do you have the same problem listening to it through your monitor speakers?

  • Hey everyone, I've recently used the Nord as a sampler to produce a track for the Science Museum's Oramics competition - if you'd like to hear the track (and vote if you got a spare minute!), have a look at my SoundCloud account @auburnjammusic

    Cheers!

  • Right at the beginning is just an improv. 1:16 is Love Song by Sara Bareilles. Next on upright piano is just fiddling, as with organ. At about 3:30 minutes is me improvising again. 4:40 is Jump by Van Halen. Everything else is improvised.

  • Thanks for all your kind comments... For those who've asked, the pieces I play are...

  • What's that song at 1:16 called? I remember playing it a couple of years ago but I have no idea today what the name is haha.

  • @Alex4uall Heya, I've posted a comment above which lists the songs I was playing at various points. Thanks for the comment!

  • Are the things you played actual songs? If so, can you tell me the piano ones?

I really enjoyed your playing. Very nice keyboard and playing!

  • @weicj Heya, I've posted a comment above which lists the songs I was playing at various points. Thanks for the comment!

  • 5:03 Pink Floyd! :D

  • Excellent demonstration - you got me interested into the Nord Stage last week. I played it this week: amazong sounds piano organ and synth and wonderful real time possibilities! Thanks!

  • Awesome demo, im about to become the proud owner of one:)

just wondering what is the synth you use around 3:53? is it a factory loaded sound or is it one you uploaded?

  • @pseudosteam Heya, it's a factory loaded patch that I've put a filter on. Hope that helps!

  • lucky guy :-p

  • That is very cool how you can bring in thing to modify sounds so fast in real time.

  • One of the best demo videos of the NS2 yet. Bravo!

  • Did you notice that at 2:00min to the left of your mic there is a floating sperm looking thing? It swims out of view at around 1:14min.

  • @stevendomingue good eye!

  • @stevendomingue weird! I totally didn't notice that! It might be a hair from my rabbit!

  • I'd like to hear about the Feel of the keys as well.

  • gorgeous sounds and excellent review.

You should approach Nord and do demos for them.

  • I WANT ONE!!!!! =)

  • wow the trumpet is fantastic

  • these piano samples are the best ive ever heard too !

  • Do you have to plug this into external speakers? Thanks

  • @bequickx of course

  • @bequickx Hey, sorry for the late reply... yes you do.

  • Gorgeous-sounding instrument, and extremely well-done demo!

I just watched & listened to some Korg Kronos demos, and to my ears, it does not compare to the Stage 2. As much as Korg HAS improved their piano sounds (finally!), the Kronos' pianos still sound synthetic in the middle range. The Nord is warm, full & rich throughout,

Organ-wise, there's also no comparison - Nord wins, hands-down. If the Stage 2 feels as good as it sounds, I'll be a proud owner very soon.

  • FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKING awesome

  • awesome review, thanks!

  • BRAVO !

  • Excellent, thank you very much for this great review!!

  • If you enjoy my review, please check out me using the Nord in my band Skyline Sketch. See our YouTube channel skylinesketch or check out our Facebook page for more... Thanks for watching my video!

  • Thank you!

It's a very very good demo!

Can you make video about synth section?

not sample library demo, but VA, FM and wavetable - it will be demo for all Stages :)

  • Sorry, I didn't quite catch what you said there at 1:08 , what's the song?

  • @muetzli1992 Sara Bareilles - "Love Song"

  • @muetzli1992 Heya, I've posted a comment above which lists the songs I was playing at various points. Thanks for the comment!

  • I love this review! I also want this keyboard... if only I was some kind of rich doctor...
