  • At 3:18, you can clearly see that the folded part of the paper is not creased, it is just bent arround the crease. In order to officially call it a fold, it must be creased, and not bent arround a crease. You can only crease it 7 times, after that, each fold is not creased, it is bent arround the crease. Therefore, this myth is not busted.

  • 1:05 He tried to throw himself on an air pocket and basically just fell right on the ground.

  • Ok, now 8½×11.

None of this 'football sized paper' bullshit.

  • The myth is all wrong! It's supposed to be an A4 paper than is impossible to fold seven times... and that one works too.

  • @lazy4295 If you've watched the Mythbuster Episode, the myth is actually "You cannot fold a piece of paper more than seven times", or something to that extent :) Check it out on Wiki :)

  • couldn't they have just put a few small holes in the sides of the paper to let the air out...

  • @88onetreehill88 That's cheating.

  • You can fold toilet paper over and over until you run out of it.

  • There goes the rest of the Amazon rainforest...

  • good, now fold me a plane

  • Incredible!! I mean the size of the paper.

  • BAM!!!

  • A footbal sized piece of paper?

  • orrrrr... you could just unravel 5 ft of toilet paper and fold that as many times as you want in half 0_o

  • try doing it with an a4 paper its impposible

  • Now, a nanometre thick piece of paper large enough to cover the entire solar system?

  • I thought the myth was that you can't fold anything more than seven time's. I didn't think it mattered if it was paper.

  • @alonso171000 you cant fold paper more than 7 times in half i think

  • @kolla123 Since you seem a little slow, I'll say this again. The myth is you cannot fold a piece of paper more than 7 times in any direction. It doesn't say a standard piece of copier paper with X by X by X dimensions. That part is left up for interpretation.

  • @joshrich07

That's why you would call is plausible not busted..

  • @cplusplusgamer Why would you call it plausible when the statement is completely false?

  • What is that? A science show for idiots!? COME ON!!!!!

  • Yes Kari, a football sized piece of paper...

  • I think the myth completely depends on the size of the paper.. if you get a square kilometer size paper it will fold more that 11

  • damn i wanna put my penis inside kerri

  • There is no limit. The dependent factor is how thick the paper is compared to the area of the paper. You could fold it 9999999 times if you have a piece of paper large enough and thin enough.

  • @Azures7 Its impossible to fold paper 9 million times not enough trees sorry.

  • @MrTrisonik We can travel to other earth-like planets and harvest wood.

  • 03:23 = Megusta xD

  • Now that... Is Avenged Sevenfold... (*Puts sunglasses on*)

  • They fail, this paper was obviously not to proper scale. It should have been much thicker...

  • Kari is a nerd's dream woman.

  • lolz...the lies i heard in elementary school... i was told that even if you had a piece of paper the size of texas you wouldn't be able to fold it 7 times...lies

  • But that isnt paper...

  • @OPiFritt are you serious? that IS paper. regular paper.

  • I would smash Karis box.

  • yea i dont really think this has anything to do with the original myth, proportionally, it's like the same thing trying to fold a standard sheet of paper 11'x8 1/2' more than 7 times

  • did any body see the guy fall at 3:15?

  • That was more like folding a sheet not a sheet of paper... but its a good show anyways.

  • If you crumple up a piece if paper then unfold it multiple times you can fold it 8 times. But you have to crumple it up A LOT of times.

  • tissue paper works

  • they ruined the paper!

  • that's like, a piece of plastic! and it's not like A4 sized or you know, SMALLER sized proper piece of paper!?

  • woman driving machinery.....

    THIS IS MADNESS

  • Comment removed

  • IIRC isn't there some sort of mathematical formula for working out how many folds you can get from a sheet of paper?

  • @profquatermass

Britney Gallivan derived the equations. Google her, and you'll find them on her wiki page.

  • I would love to do that redhead

  • @ballickmoyler adam is a redhead

  • I see no Avenged Elevenfold jokes... shame.

  • i dont think thats paper...

  • wow.... what a waste of tree

  • 0:09 If we ever lose Hayley Williams, this is an acceptable spare.

  • That could be A GIANT JOINT!!!! XD

  • @chubellbubble THAT WOULD BE AN AWESOME CHEECH AND CHONG PLOT

  • would it be cheating if the paper is wet?

  • That is parachute material not paper -.-

  • Since when is a parachute made from paper?

  • This does not even count.. WTF?! Dickholes

    -L

  • Im such a geek! pa pa ra pa pa...

  • isn't it busted?

a fold is a sharp crease and they bent it not folded it so technically they FOLDED it about four times.

    =(

  • If there's anything they've done, it's actually confirming that myth, I mean look at what they've done:

    1. Took a VERY disproportionate piece of paper of an insane gigantic size, does anyone really use that paper?

    2. They had to use parachute material, easier to manage than a regular paper

    3. It took them 3-4 freaking hours!!!!!

    4. It took several people, after a certain point, it took a forklift

After looking at that, when I ask myself "Is it possible?", I get an answer: "Nope"!

  • @jaykumarchandran Myth doesn't say anything about how much time or how many people it will take to do it. Forklift was used for 9th time (8th was done just by humans)

  • Fucking parachute material is NOT paper!

  • The myth is you can't fold a piece of paper in half more than 7 times. Doesn't say how big, or waht kind, or thickness..just that it's paper. They busted the myth. Case closed.

  • @joshrich07 Except they did not fold a piece of paper. You fail.

  • Comment removed

  • watch the guy who jumps onto the paper at 3:12 and enjoy :)

  • anyone notice when they first started that myth is was bright? like 12-4pm ish? then when they finished it was like 7-9...

  • i still didn't see them fold a piece of 11x7 piece of paper 8 times

  • You guys are the reason the amazon forest looks like a shaved beard! :P

  • folds? bends..

  • the record is 12 folds... XD

  • To the 'low IQ' comments, if any of you ever watch Mythbusters, you should all be aware that they replicate the myth, and if found that it can't be done, they tend to find out how it can be done, regardless to what has to be done.

  • i dont get it ?

  • @justincoughlan10 There's nothing not to get

  • they are just replicating the results.

  • What was the girl there for, other than to have a girl there? More evidence that TV is no longer necessary.

  • @roaringrockets Do you even watch Mythbusters? Shes a good member of the team!

  • Now unfold it.

  • The myth was about folding just a normal paper, not a giant paper that is more long than it's thickness....

  • Well. That was a massive waste of paper.

  • no...no..no..the real myth is you can't fold paper 10 times.......

  • @benitowasdon XD They Still got past ten too.......

  • @benitowasdon You mean 12?

  • Comment removed

  • i've busted this myth before..

with foil, cardboard and a regular sheet of paper.

  • Imagine the poor trees...

  • I once did it with a desk calendar page. Difficult, but not impossible.

  • i think it is busted bcoz they used a large size of paper but not proportion to the paper's thickness. that's why they are able to fold it more than seven times

  • @coldwednesday25 but then again i heard that you cant fold any piece of paper more than 7 times.

  • @AlyxEsson not true, the just folded that paper 10+ times

  • @coldwednesday25 Well, it would be confirmed not busted, because the myth was "You can't fold a piece of paper more than 7 times" :P

However I agree, the paper wasn't as thick as it should've been considering the size of it. But then again, if you take a piece of A4 paper and a piece of A3, they're pretty much the same thickness.

  • @coldwednesday25 In all honesty the myth isn't "its impossible to fold a piece of paper more than 7 times, if the paper is porportioned to its thickness"

  • @coldwednesday25 Technically the myth never said anything about size or thickness. Paper size and thickness is different depending on what part of the world you're in and what you're using it for anyway.

  • @coldwednesday25 Yes, but it's not their fault that the one who made this myth wasn't precise enough in his definition...

  • @coldwednesday25 that's exactly what i was thinking...

  • @coldwednesday25 but the myth was that you cant fold any sized peice of paper more than 7 times

  • @coldwednesday25 Thats not the myth. It says quote "any size paper"

    learn your shit before posting.

  • no guys, wat mb did is use a thinner piece of paper, therefore they are able to fold it additional one time. thats all!!!!

  • now all we need to do is figure out the formulae relating the area and folds you can do.

  • 3:16 Asian guy falls. poor guy. :(

  • i wonder if its bulletproof??? :P

  • Pretty good, but not as good as Britney Gallivan.

  • lol wtf really? They should have set it on fire.

  • OMG THIS IS SO AWESOME I WATCH THIS TWENTY TIMES MORE TODAY

  • i folded a piece of paper 9 times, u mad, mythbusters?

  • Good. Now fold a normal sheet of paper

  • @metademetra The myth states that you can't fold a piece of paper more than 7 times, it does not say anything about the paper's size.

  • @adrianlindsaylohan Technically, people will not be using a huge piece of paper. They will use a regular sized piece

  • @metademetra Technically ? I think you used the term wrong here. I think you mean "Typically". The myth did not state "You can't fold a piece of regular sized paper in half more than 7 times." so they don't have to adhere to it.

  • Chuck Norris can achieve 17 folds... ...then he just needs to rest...

  • The myth is if you can fold a standard A4 sheet of paper -7 that means if you make a Fu Ken foot ball sized sheet of paper it has to maintain the same ratios at the Standard A4 sheet of paper that means if the length and width is multiplied by 100 so does the thickness of the paper..... They Fu Ked all the ratios up they only made the length and wide much larger and ignored the thickness.

  • is that even paper? it looks like plastic...

  • How did they make that paper?

  • kari has a nice butt

    i wish i had their job :(

  • I guess that they should have increased the thickness of that paper proportionate to an A4 size paper and try this out. would luv to see them achieve the same. :-)

  • @ultimatenick37 how big is a standard piece of paper. is it A4? because A5 is more commonly used.

  • @tabret2004 Anyone of those, not a fucking giant peice of paper that killed like 100 trees for these idiots to not do a myth right.

  • @ultimatenick37 A tree can produce about 100,000 standard pages. If you do the math, loosely, a "football field sized" piece of paper is equivalent to about 80,000 sheets. They only needed one tree. Calm the fuck down.

  • @Motive11331 Did you google that? :P

  • @ultimatenick37 No, I have my own lumber mill out back.

  • how do i reply as a video response?

  • @shayorshayorshayor respond to video and post video response

  • her shirt says i <3 geeks.

  • thumbs up if you were an idiot like me and tried it with an a4 paper

  • uhhh I always thought the "myth" was you can't fold a loose leaf piece of paper (11x7) more than 7 times. not a bedsheet made for Godzilla

  • @Pimpjit85 The myth is that you can't fold any piece of paper no matter the thickness or size more than 7 times.

  • @kikatbuster123 no, that's how they CHOSE to take it.

the original myth is based on A4

  • @Pimpjit85 Same but where im from they say you cant fold it 13 times

  • @Pimpjit85 The sheet is proportional to a piece of paper.

  • @0zyke it's the thickness that counts dude and that paper was the thickness of a regular piece paper

  • @6037084 omg so tired of these comments about thickness paper does not get thicker according to its size

  • wtf....this one makes no sense at all.

  • why didnt they make an origami bird ?! xD

  • this is lame, it's not paper, it's tissue paper!

  • @Frejborg Paper is paper.

  • @sickdude197 no way. there's a great variety of papers!

  • @Frejborg Yes, there is! However, the myth is that you can't fold a piece of paper in half seven times. Not "You can't fold xxx kind of paper seven times."

  • @sickdude197 Is it really a myth though? I mean it's a modern day thing, and obviously it's talking about common paper, else it would not have been said at all.

  • The problem with this video: If you took the 8x11 sheets of paper this is about and made them as big as this sheet of paper they would also be ALOT THICKER. And once again it would not be possible. Thanks.

  • If you don't fold in half just across you can get so many more folds

  • that aint paper though

  • My lifelong dream: Folding a giant piece of paper in the sunset.

  • thats not paper and it doesnt look like the same thickness as paper which is a huge factor in this myth

    they fucked up

  • @vivelajonny

Apparently... Paper is much thinner than this

  • I'd prefer them to use normal A4 paper and use the truck to keep folding that

  • It's stupid because the 7 times law only works with 8.5/11 normal piece of paper..

  • thats not paper <.<

  • I searched 'Tory dies' and this was the first result. What the heck happens with that paper?

  • @dmom5ter

    Lol yeah :D

  • @dmon5ter No.I'm just a Mythbusters fan

  • @dmon5ter Thumbs down if you didnt

  • Is it true if it were possible to fold a piece of paper 42 times it would reach the moon?

  • @GoogleMania005 dean? LOL

  • @dmon5ter ahaha yea

  • @GoogleMania005 no, but it would have the same thickness as the moon, should've listened more closely

  • STOP CALLING ME KARI!

  • 1:Waste of trees 2:This is not educational

  • Her shirt actually says I<3Geeks at 3:23

  • they spend all their time for just folding a paper lol

  • Thumbs up is OMG Facts sent you here

  • Can that ginger finally shut her annoying mouth? It's fucking piercing my ears, giving me a headache >_<

  • press 5 to see a raging guy punching nothing :)

  • holy shit i think youtube just got an update this second

  • who else thinks the girl looks like Hayley Williams?

  • Wow... They Just Folded Half A Rainforest Of Trees...

  • The myth is you can't fold a piece of paper in half more than seven times no matter how big the sheet of paper is. Thickness is irrelevant to the myth.

  • I haven't tried it, but wouldn't a normal size piece of tissue paper work?

  • Why didn't they scale the thickness too?

  • I want Keri's tits. They're so firm, and ripe, and giggly.
