  • yes I would agree the videos do not do him justice, live is the way to go. Until then listen the crap out of his CD's :0)

  • To all the people making connections to Bob Dylan:

I'm a new fan, just saw Jackie open for Gov't Mule. His performance was fantastic. I'm watching all of these youtube videos and I'm not really seeing what I saw at the show. Jackie Greene has evolved it seems.

  • @seafoamgreen3 agreed, he his now a songwriting guitar tour de force, just saw him open for a mule and videos like this do not do what i saw at his show justice.

  • i'd say he's the next elton john

  • I dont like it when people call Jackie "the next Dylan"

They said the same about Ryan Adams.

I have a radical idea: Lets give the guy a chance to be the First Jackie Greene.

Just as Adams was given the room to grow into a monster talent, so too will Jackie. He's already more than halfway there, so enough already with the comparisons. Let the kid rock...the Pride of Sacramento!!

  • I like him but I suppose if you're in the douche business DirtyDsam sells em door to door.

  • How could you say he is a poser that is sheer skill he plays with phil lesh, the further and gov't mule he is the real deal douche wad TAKE IT!

  • This guy is so gifted,

    GREAT singer/songwriter/Player

  • he's so tight!

  • I have the Absolutely 12th and K CD (Ithink it's available at his site) and play it to death.

Anyone know if Marilyn's is still there?

  • @sweetdreamerzz - Marilyn's as it used to exist on 12th & K is no longer extant...in its place is a fancy pants overpriced restaurant...you know the type: Oversized plates, undersized portions and waaay too poserish for its location.

Marilyn's bar has moved down K street a few blocks and is now half underground. Its actually a cooler place coz its away from the train trax and has a better vibe to it.

I too have gone thru many many copies of JG's 12 & K cd.

    Aloha!

  • @spwb2k

Thanks, that's good to hear. Great CD!

    Right on =)

  • i was at this show!!!!

  • I've met his little brother. he's cool.

  • I would say he is the next Bob Dylan.

If there is such a thing.

  • He's the best! we will never foget him

  • lol he didn't die

  • your a real character irtimed, Jackie's friendship with us did die
