Sadly, she passed away shortly after that performance. It was an incredible performance by Jerry Butler and Betty Everette. It was on the PBS network...one of those oldies show ..Jerry Butler was emceeing.

This is such a touching loving song. Even moreso if you Jerry & Betty sing it on the Oldies show he was hosting. Jerry begged her to sing it again for him...she had just undergoing breast cancer treament...radiation etc. She came. And if you see this performance, it will have you in tears because it was like they meant it. and you could feel it....and she was struggling but she did it because Jerry asked her and you could see it in his eyes how much he cared about her.

Jerry Butler and I will share a birthday this December 8th and 10th this year! I just knew he was one our well respected, soulful Sagitarius. He was always one of my favorites at an earlier age and will always be. No one will ever be able to emulate Jerry Butler.
