i bought this on vinyl when it came out.. back then, this music was called deathcore. death metal with hardcore influences. the meaning back then is not even near what bands are classified as deathcore today which proves the labelling thing just does not work.

I bought this and still have it on vinyl when it was first released and it was not called deathcore. If you may recall, Earache recs released a sampler entitled "Grindcrusher" (of which I also have on vinyl) featuring bands such as Filthy Christians, Repulsion, Bolt-Thrower, etc, and Terrorizer's dead shall rise, all of which were classed as Grind, hence the name. Only much later did sub-genres begin to be recognised with one of them being "deathcore". Anyway, down with pigeonholing.
