Apple's had the same problems of course and so did every other company.
It's typical. Nobody can fix every single problem all at once because it takes years to find every single bug.
Mac OS has less bugs because they don't release entirely new OS' every so often. They just improvise. Microsoft will do that too...but then they just trash it and move onto something totally new so it's just back to where they started.
