  • see, this nigga should be doing american top gear if anyone. him and two of his trusted motorhead friends

  • Its a motobike for pussys

  • Jay Leno not being on Top Gear America should be a crime.

  • BMW C1 has 2 wheels but made to wear seat belt like a car in UK because it has a roof even though no doors.

  • sinclair c5 anyone?

  • i would love to see this thing drift!

  • What the fuck are they talking about the carver being a prototibe and made in US crap? It was in pruduction in 2003 in the Netherlands... wen was this taped?

  • i think they both look horrible but the black one looks less horrible

  • THAT FIRE TRUCK......WAIT THAT'S FROM L.A. NOIRE!

  • Do you want those two guys to make a car show like Top Gear US?? I do!!

  • It's a Dutch car and the design you see was the final design. Prototype my ass. This car was in production but the company went under. If the new ones are indeed built in America its American built, but it's stupid that they didn't mention they bought the rights...

  • @dazzelya If you go to there web page they mention it there

  • I want that!!!! More HP and some nice wheels and we got aa deal

  • 150+ horsepower on that thing would be a blast!

  • German autobahns, u don't have a limit for speed....

  • 7:20 a glimpse of Jay's Tank Car. Awesomely long car! And the 3-wheeler? Well.... IT'S EPIC!

  • Wouldn't you be generating g forces when you turn sharply at high speed?

  • I see why Jay is a talk show host….ugh! Damn. shud up!!!

  • soooo would it tip over if it was windy??? :o

  • I need one

  • 100 miles to the gallon?!

    FUCK ME! THAT'D BE AWESOME!

    ...

Why can't we have this again?!

  • @thomson765 This is called the NIH syndrome. The Not Invented Here syndrome.

  • it's a dutch car those big fucks

  • @thomson765 We make crazy stuff ;) hahaha

  • I really admire how Jay politely admits that its underpowered.

  • so much for a coffee cup holder in this beast

  • Prototype???? Development???

Jay Leno...you know better, don't you?

Have you just become a piece of pork or were you already all the time?

Can't believe you lend yourself out for telling this kind of crap!!!

It ruins your credibility. Like that of the company itself, because a company based on a lie doesn't deserve to succeed.

  • jay leno drives some crazy rides, i live a block away from his car garage on clayborn, and he comes out with some crazy ass rides

  • Conceived, engineered and produced in the Netherlands. "this is the prototype".. what BS. It's the production type they are 'planning' to pimp with a new exterior. And the look they are aiming for well whats to say about taste. But the Japanese beat them to it and designed a sleeker front end for the Carver which pulled the whole design together. Lets hope the Americans can put it into production for a better price than the Dutch could produce it for.Look for Jensen Buttons drive in it on u-tube

  • Designed by the Dutch, tested by top gear, Dutch company goes under and bought by an american company.... lets hope they actually get to production!

  • all it needs is a rocking cup holder

  • dude, this is a dutch car not an american

  • @doep007 the dutch company went under and the designs were bought by the americans

  • @Fahnestock1

    stupid americans

  • @doep007 If it weren't for the American company that bought the designs the carver would have limited numbers instead of having a potential of becoming the greatest car to exist.

  • He keeps saying at the start how fun it is to drive, but he hadn't been in it yet he said...

  • lol "detroit?"

"somewhere in the midwest, we're still looking"

as in, not made in the US, its dutch

  • haha a 5 speed? have fun shifting in a corner with that

  • It's made in socialist, pot smoking, affordable healthcare, liberal, green-crazed Netherlands. Not in right wing, paranoid, anti-intellectual, militarized, gas guzling, religious America. Suck on it.

  • oh my god i want one so bad

  • Leno you're lame, how on earth can you review a car without even mentioning the original manufacturer's name (Van Den Brink). And not even discussing it's made in The Netherlands, the americans just bought the patents. So yes the new ones are from the US. But SHAME ON YOU LENO!!! Only talking about the efficiency, jeez there are so many aspects you skipped. Treehugger!

  • why isnt Jay Leno on american top gear. get rid of the 2 idiots who dont know shit about car.

  • @RobertMoua two idiots? all three need to go!

  • @yimig actually tanner knows his cars. He is a disciple of Ryhs Millen which is Rod Millen's son. And Millens is known for breaking rally records. Tanner can stay. the other 2 ist a must go.

  • @RobertMoua Tanner may know how to drive but that's why they have the Stig, tanner dosn't belong in front of the camera. just look at his old show Super Cars Exposed and you will see him plagiarising British top gear all the time word for word and it comes out like shit!

  • @RobertMoua They asked him and he turned them down because he doesn't think that an american version of top gear is a good idea.

  • @RobertMoua because he has his own website which has been doing well and he does a TV show full time which pays him a lot more

  • @RobertMoua He was actually offered his own Top Gear show a few years ago, he declined :(

  • @RobertMoua You said it! The American version of TG sucks! Not only are those two guys idiots but the producers don't understand their audience. The show misses the mark by a mile; it's disappointing and an embarrassment. Leno would be great on that show (imagine if Steve McQueen were alive - there's a thought!).

  • do not, I repeat, do not hit a deer with this vehicle, lean out of the way!! baby lean

  • hahahaha made in the USA my ass. its made in holland

  • @bustfer07 I was thinking the same thing, this beauty is not made in usa

  • @bustfer07 Its built under licens here as well as it is built in holland the country of orgin for this car. well 3 wheeler.

  • @PerformanceCars1FCH1 ok but they could at least give holland some credit for it.

  • @bustfer07 true. He should have mentioned that.

  • "its made right here in america"...

    en.wikipedia. org/wiki/Carver_(automobile)

    sorry to burst your bubble.

  • @UltimatePwnageNL they bought the rights from a dutch company..sorry to burst your huge ego filled bubble !

  • @megabowzer100 They are _constructed_ in america. the easy bit. huge difference. also, huge ego filled? what part of that has anything to do with ego? i'm not a patriot at all, if you meant that. just wanted to point it out. i happen to know it was developed in "my" home country because... well... how can you not. the netherlands is tiny. i hope you're not a dick in real life.

  • throw a k20 in it :)

  • if it puts a smile on your face, it's fine by me. jay seems to like it

  • Now go ahead and invent a flying car, like the Back to the Future Delorean. :) It's nearly 2012, shouldn't we be in flying cars like The Jetsons by now?!? LOL

  • haha i like it cool looking.

  • looks tight

  • why does he wear those denim rags all the freaking time,,,,,

  • production looks like shit

  • Are these street legal ?

  • @Psunfire

Yes, I have one since three years.

Best thing ever happened to me.

  • the prototype looks so much sexier than the version that made it to production :-(

  • its not a prototype...it has been produced by the dutch for a while now.

  • Its a dutch machine

  • 12:12 ugh!! but its really great

  • Did that door squeak at 04:19?

  • I wonder if Jay has an E-Type Jag as well?

  • it dutch...not american.

  • FORD: Found On Road Dead.

  • I like the prototype waaay better than the production model, it looks terrific.

  • @platypusone The prototype is actually production model, a vandenbrink Carver one, the vandenbrink company in the Netherlands, unfortunatly the company went bankrupt a couple of years ago.

  • Change your batteries in your fire alarm...

  • @10forgram lol I heard that too.

  • @10forgram its his shoes on the floor

    silly

  • For all "the Dutch" folk. Ahem. GM, 1982 The Lean Machine. That would be a few years before a 2002 Dutch company that went bankrupt in 2010.

  • dear santa

  • What happens when it hits a deer?

  • Mad in holland ya know it... :-)

  • need to put a turbo hyabusa engine

  • 200hp and you would be 7 foot underground lol

  • I want one, for sale in 2014?

  • No wonder Jay 'bobblehead' leno likes this car...

  • I remember seeing this car on discovery channel about 2 years ago.

  • It's a Dutch invention! But unfortunately the company gone bust...

  • swag

  • Omg this with an 800cc two stroke mated to a CVT would be insane!

  • @VDZRIDER cvt transmissions are boring, altho they would be good for people who don't know how to change gears or simply doesnt like manual transmissions.

  • Looks like a Tron Light Cycle

  • Have they finish putting the rest of the parts on it? LoL Cause it sure doesn't look like it....

  • made in Holland!!!!!!

  • @shrekmar Designed in Holland built under licens in America as well.

  • how does that thing weigh 1750 lbs?

  • rad!

  • The only thing it needs is to have one wheel at the rear.

  • I think most of the info given in this clip is nothing but a sack of horse $h!T..... Those damn Americans claim to invent everything (EVEN WATER) ..right !!!

but anyways one day they will wake up and realized that they were nothing but wet dreams..

    fun car though

  • @afadallas Everyone knows that the Dutch company Carver invented this technology. This American company simply licensed it and continued making an updated version of the Carver because Carvers are no longer produced. If you watch the video, you will see them talk about Carver

  • @afadallas It says that they are built in America, not that they were invented here

  • Put two wheels at the front and you got my version.

  • And think their selling them already

  • I saw this at top gear and now they got a new version that looks awesome

  • awesome.......................!!!

  • deathtrap

  • This garage will be cost $20 billion

  • How do you turn into parking spaces out of curiousity? This car/bike looks super exciting though!

  • hey Honda, Kaw, BRI, BMW...someone build this thing....these guys have had this three or four years now and it still hasn't come out........ oh and stick with the Dutch design. Yah the one you designed is nicer looking but it appears that your sight lines will be compromised.

  • Can i have one now now now now please please please.

  • They are going to build this licensed from Carver. I wish them all the best. When I grow older... haha. I aspire for one.

Jay's right on about the motor but there would be no reverse. That could be overcome with an electric motor.

Corner the market with a big bike motor. Make it an insane, comfy everyday tourer that you also want to go to work and shopping in.

  • Made in America?!!!, WHat theh fuck!!!..

This is the Dutch invention you idiots!..

  • @Zoza15

The Dutch did the original design, but they could not monetize it as a "sports car/bike" so they stopped production and license the design to Americans. The car will be build (or assembled, I doubt the parts will be all-American) in America. All the legalities have been worked out. I know because I have about three years of following this car company's progress.

So, to be accurate: designed by Dutch as a sports car, re-ingeneered by Americans as a eco-car and a car for the masses.

  • @kronosaurelius

The Carver One was actually be attempted to be a electric car, but the company wanted to sell a ton of these just like a smart car before any further development on the brand..

Now that Americans has the licence to create this, now they claim that they Created the Carver Car, Not because its electric NO!, because its the new expirience of driving They claim to make.

And once this American vehicle comes out, The people dont give a shit if the Dutch invented it First.

  • @Zoza15

Well, it is just marketing. Marketing does not have to be correct to be effective. Don't lose too much sleep over it.

  • Daihatsu motor.......wtf....

  • That thing is cool im wondering how much is it

  • @Gizzardnum1 go look it up

  • That is a carver! Who is that shameless man who claim to create this vehicle?! All hail the Dutch!

  • @tlslpl jay leno calls it the carver. I'm assuming Terry Murphy and co have the rights to the device.

  • Hey jay,

Where can i get one of these . i want one or 2 are they for sale .. How do I get a hold of Terry murphy ..

    thanks,

    MIke,

  • @Mikes1000Toys

They mentioned it a few times on the video.

    Google "flytheroad".

  • Made in America? Jay, c'mon! The Dutch might not be famous for their cars but you can't deny brands like Spijker, Donkervoort and Carver.
