Dropping this to F would probably be perfect for you instead of starting in A. I had a problem with King of pain by the police until I heard Alanis Morisette do a cover of it and she dropped the song 3 notes. Finally I was able to sing it without going too deep or too high. I know you probably want to stay true to the original key but remember, the musicians can change to suit the singer a lot easier than vice versa. your voice is spot on by the way. If anyone ever says otherwise... jealousy lol
