My grampa was born in 1896. They did not have such high-falutin' gadgets like « TV » or « Internet » back then - and they *liked* it. They also walked to school five miles uphill in the snow, milked the cows, slopped the hogs, and then spent two hours daily with their hornbooks.
Everybody loves Dallas - even Queen Elizabeth II of Windsor. Check out my tribute to Dallas on youtube "Dallas theme done Windsor style". You'll love it.

Dallas has been broadcasted in 1978 under Ceausescu's communist regime. One of the last broadcasted american series; afterwards, in the 80s, national TV has been reduced to 2 hours of broasdcasting daily. I was 15 at that time. Up till the 80s we had mainly all the american series of the 60s and 70s (Mannix, the Saint, Rich Man Poor man, Rockford Files, Cannon, Toma, Lost in space...)
I waited for the 806 IH pushing the cultivator at he start

Just noticing they had three pics for each character, except Miss Ellie only had one.

Love the theme tune. It's an anthem of super capitalism!

and the show was a virulent attack against that super capitalism
