Whether PuToTyra has an evil side or not it doesnt matter, commonly its when the hero goes evil for a few episodes that he becomes immensely more powerful. TaJaDor is used alot in a few episodes because that was the only combo Ankh had at the time, although I havent finished watching the whole series so I dont know how often he uses it afterwards, still they are arguably more powerful
