@MetalQueen1392 IF you are having trouble running any of the games. i recommend you get them from GoG.com, they sell it recoded so it runs under windows 7 without faultts :)

My latest character has been a human paladin. Main idea was so I could use Carsomyr in bg2 (Spell Check). It is a Paladin only weapon so ya. Original stats were 18/31 strength, 18 dexterity, 18 constitution, 10 intelligence, 13 wisdom, 18 charisma. Since I have a love for exploring I found all the tomes, so now my stats stand as 19 strength, 19 dexterity, 19 constitution, 15 wisdom, 11 intelligence, and 19 charisma. Helm of Glory and Nymph's Cloak boosts charisma to 22 :D

Even though this is a year late for the comments and such, elves can use bows, but mages can't. Humans vs elves because some class types get restricted if you do. Also when I do the stats, I spend WAY more time working on it. Obviously you can't do that here. If it were me I'd have gone for max intelligence so that you get the max spells and max memorization capacity. Strength and Dexterity not needed really for a mage. Dex is for thief or raising the armor class. Super high charisma :D

@KrazyDanProductions Thanks, Dan. Yeah, it's confusing, because in 3rd Edition they allow her to use the bow, but not here in 2nd. I purposely didn't start her out with 18 Intelligence. ;)

It seems the little 'fuzzy' recording thing happens in this where it's pixel(ated?) a bit and it switches a bit, how did you fix that?

@Clermn It sounds like your encoder, Clermn. I can't really give you any advice for that, though, except to maybe try a higher quality preset maybe.

i used play balders gate 2 with my cousin , i used steal all his potions when he had to go use the toilet haha and then when we got to a boss fight he used scream "I FUCKING LOST ALL MY POTIONS FUCKING GAME IS BROKE FUCK YOU DUDE WHERE THEY GO!"

Tord, do you realize your voice in BG1 sound a lot freshing, something very exciting? I think your voice went sore or something in BG2, still awesome voice though :) But your voice is so awesome here. Just listen to it :) It makes me wanna watch BG1 again :D Not sure if u changed microphone, or sound or something in BG2, I don't know ! But everything sound so epic in BG1 ! Kinda want t see this voice to continue in BG2 :D

@RiseofBane Gosh, Mike, this was my first time ever recording my voice. Since then, I've been recording almost every day for over a year--I'm sure my voice is strained; not to mention, things are bound to change. :P (Thanks, though--otherwise, I cringe listening to myself, even here. :P)

Ah, yup I was also wondering how exactly that event would play out if Lilly ever met her twin, and I agree magic missile is one of the better lower level spells since it scales with you or in this case her :)... now that I think about it the only other spell I can think of that is first level scales with level is chromatic orb... or am I missing some? Does color spray scale as well?

Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately?) never shall the twain meet. ;) First level spells whose *damage* increases with level (as some have increased range or duration), besides Magic Missile, include Burning Hands, Chromatic Orb, and Shocking Grasp. Spook, too, but you'd only see that under the Tutu mod, as it's only implemented for the sequel. But yeah, Magic Missile, with no saving throw and at range, is great! :D

@mynameisnotlilly Yup, not only that, but it casts so fast that in a battle with another wizard you can usually get it off before most other spells and have a chance at disrupting their spell :P

this game is a great role play to bury your self into your characters world. Playing online with other players role playing is hard at least it was for me. XD Ex: Arelith servers on neverwtiner nights. Great rp Lets play footage btw.

I've never played dungeons and dragons, wish i did though, guess wouldn't make sense anyway as most 16 year olds nowadays don't do stuff that. I hate that I was born in the mid 90's...guess I was just late for the party... T_T

@mrcow94 People still play, but there's a lot of other systems now besides D&D: Pathfinder, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, etc. If you're interested, you should check out a local hobby shop--the ones by me usually let GMs run games at night, in the store. Or go to a local gaming convention when one comes around: you can usually sit in on a short session, even if you're just learning. :)

The difference between elf and half elf, as far as I can remember, is the fact that half elves have most of the positive attributes of an elf, better eyesight, better stealth, etc, than humans. But half elves don't live as long as elves because they are half-human.

Look at the opposite case: people can have good intentions but attempt to carry them out in such a way as to actually be evil or cruel (e.g., a parent who disciplines their child to the point of abuse)... or did I totally misunderstand your question? ;)

I like to choose Chromatic Orb instead of Magic Missile. I think it does more damage, or the same damage, but it also does different effects based on caster's level...for magic missile I tend to use the wands that I find, cause it seems like there are a lot available. :) But they are both good spells.

Interesting concept to actually role play the game. It's also cool that you haven't played it in a while, so it's almost a first impression. My only beef is it a little slow at times. Keep up the good work.

@archtemplar6 One of the great things about roleplaying IMO, is that it improves the replayability of a game. Instead of trying to do every quest with an unber build the first time around, you can force yourself to only see some parts of the game with one character, completely different parts with another, etc.
