can anyone explain to me why daigo seems to push an insane amount of buttons at once?? like in the vid hes always pushing more than one button when only one move comes out. to me it looks like he is plinking everything he does which makes absolutely no sense at all

@speedsterh No, it's not. Double/triple tapping is exclusively used for 1-3 frame link combos, which are mostly a SF4 phenomenon. He's pianoing.

@tuber52 Depending on the circumstance, it's either pianoing or just to keep his (internal) rhythm (i.e., if he's just thrown a DP and is just killing time while the character is out of his control). Pianoing was around long, long, long before plinking - [DP motion] + WP/MP/FP = six chances to get a DP (once on button-down, once on button-up).

You can't help but get a little frustrated and angry at the other player who beat you pretty good two rounds in a row. I didn't see a smile on Sirlin's face after the match so that tells me he's either a little pissed and had to just quickly shake hands, sit down and have his drink, OR that he was completely indifferent about losing, shook hands, and just sat down, chilled and took a sip of his drink. Something else tells me though that the latter isn't it.

Yeah. he was the MASTER of the "Psychic DP" back in the day. You would throw out a poke that usually gets blocked even by most experts, and he'd dragon punch it for the knockdown. Then he'd do it again next time to prove it's not a fluke.

At that time you either a) think he's DPing them on reaction, and give up, b) think he's truly psychic and give up, or c) try and be more unpredictable with the pokes.  This is easier said then done, though, because you have to go against your instincts.

see, daigo probally is controling the space already being controled and if daigo is letting some space be free for sirlin to aquire, sirlin knows that daigo knows that it's just bait for sirlin to take.

So... sirlin knows that daigo could possibly trap him, but daigo already knows that, thus tags him when he least expects it.
