He will beat up all your sissy kids when he is older., you guys crting are cunts... This huy is a moron fr the dull saw, no safety goggles amd ear protection but showing how to use the saw is no problem gotta learn somewhere...
this is the same exact way i learned how to use a saw.
holyshit really, some of these comments. if no one can understand what your saying dont post it.
and the reason why the world is like it is today is because of u saftey freaks that have to make things so much more complicated then they really are.
Dull saw in the hands of a 6 year old- a 3 foot or so bar??? Accident waiting to happen! That thing can kick like a mule, chain break, etc... a sharper saw would actually be a lot safer. Too many variables for a child to be able to maturely handle, much less be able to physically handle.
After finishing the last can in the case of Bud he had for brunch grandpa decides it's high time the youngin' learns to make wood in the forenoon...Belch..!
I think it's great having kids learn this stuff. I just don't think that when he does start using a saw on his own he should use a 660... too much saw. Like a ms 250 would be a great first saw! I learned when I was 10 so i have no objection to your parenting what so ever. Happy wood cutting!!!
at no time did the boy take control of the saw. The adult seemed to have a firm grip on the saw and his wrist well forward on the kick-back brake. A good skill for a young man to learn but under complete RESPONSIBLE , hands on, adult supervision. But slip the teeth a bit on that chain. It makes work faster and safer
@dragoncustomcycles yeah the dude showing him was holding the saw aswell..but no ear and eye protection ... easy way to make the rest of your life miserable....deaf and blind
ive been using a 044 since i was 10 there is nothing wrong with teaching a kid how to use a piece of equipment... granted the chain was dull as hell, thats the only thing i see wrong with it, a sharp chain is a safe chain
Great, you're teaching your child to use a dull saw, without proper protective gear. With any luck he may live to see your age. For those who have the sole complaint that he's letting his child run a power saw, grow up and grow a pair. The only thing wrong with this vid is the passing of bad habits to the next generation. @Drewbee2011, sure the man had a secure grip on the saw, but a dull chain and no PPE is a recipe for disaster, no matter your skill.
haha....my dad let me run a chainsaw when I was 6 or 7 under his direct supervision. This kid is having a thrill of his young life. No one got hurt, and the dad is probably real proud of his son not shying away from this beast of a saw. Way to go dad !!! and son !!!
now i dont usually post to criticise anyone, thats just stupid, whatever about you holding the saw, chain break? ear damage? i have a 660 and never use it without stihl trousers and face and eye protection, if you stumbled you could maim or even kill both of you, cop on and teach kids safe work, it doesnt cost any more than teaching them to be stupid
@jrfirefighterchris and you my friend are whats wrong with the world to day so what if the kid learns how o use a chainsaw at a young age and its not like hes just out there by him sylfe there is someone there holding it if you didnt see
@jrfirefighterchris I dont see why your bitching he was holding the saw the hole time the boy was just holding on to it to make it look like he was using it FFS
ive seen all manner of idiocy around saws but that takes the biscuit... that saw could easily kickback from the branches lying behind the trunk. a grown man would struggle with the saw then, never mind a small child.
Anyone can see there are some obvious safety gear concerns here, but it is really no surprise because this guy obviously doesn't know jack about running a saw and how to care for such a respectable machine. You can see how dull this saw is by the powder its throwing instead of chips, and that saw should be able to rip through that hardwood in no time. Come on guy! Care for your boy (first) and care for your saw!
@andrewoutside After a few hours a brand new chain can become somewhat dull. Since when cant a Dad handle his own kids. Go do your thing, let me do mine.
Well I have no problem with the boy learning how to use a chainsaw under supervision, but if you're going to teach him, then teach him right. He should have the proper gear on: gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection. Otherwise it looks like dad had control of the saw the entire time and I'm fine with that.
My son just got a chance to use a chainsaw, but he is age 10 and under supervision with the propper safety gear on. Still he knows not to use this tool without me around.
You all are a bunch of fucking girls! Dad is holding chainsaw and for one cut the kids ears will be fine. Bunch a friggin babys around here! Every chainsaw video there are 15 do-gooders that have to spout off about protection.
Well, my cousin has allowed me tu use his chainsaw ( Homelite EZ ) when i was 9 ... !
in this video the father is near the child and he's got the chainsaw in his hands, his son is only squeezing the trigger ... there aren't any eye , ear and leg protections ...

Safety comes first (for the stupid idiot standing in the back)... let your (or somebody's) son take the brunt, so that you are out of harm's way....
Should I ever be in need of a brain-transplant, I will look for yours, as it has definitively NEVER been used!
