I'm sad to report that Charles Nunzio (the last of the founding members of the American Accordionists Association) died on October 17, 2010. He was a major influence during the accordion's "golden age" and (as the video depicts), actually influenced accordion design. He had his own line of "Nunziola" accordions and published technique books that were in high demand in those days.
What a wonderful thing to honor your teacher in such a way and at the same time honoring all of us with such a historical perspective of the accordion. Thanks so much!!!
I bought that Butti accordion from him for $500 and gave it to Alex for free! Nunzio was THE Best arranger for the accordion! Better than Magnante.
