  • Wow! Please keep it up my fellows Acholi! I'm very pround of you all.

  • Hoooo.............my Acholi people keep it up, i love my culture. It is the only value which keeps people together always. Am sad that some people are fighting it out.

  • Home sweet home, who in the world can beat the talent and coriography?

  • @Zachary509

You try watching it to Wifey. Love the cultural however

  • awesome culture

I am from Didinga of South Sudan and my culture also perform acholi tradition I hting they came with this culture druing Anya nya 1 when all my tribe was refuge in Uganda. I love this culture because they keep it origanal. keep on and pass on to generations.

  • I am an Acholi and talking about complexity, i dont think this (larakaraka dance) is the most complex dance of the Acholi, wait until you see dingi dingi or Bwola dance, then you will love this culture.

  • Those 2 dislikes are idiots!

  • wots this booby dance??

  • Now dominicans know where did they get their mambo from, even tho they deny their african heritage.

  • I love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have lost so much of our culture in dancing. To see these young people in this ceremony dance.Black people in the USA, would dance, all day and all night, back in day.Our young people today don't dance like we did. That's why they ASSES ARE FAT.

  • Amazing!! That's all I have to say.

  • good music - go to -Juba City Entertainment - Sign in

  • the video is gud. i like the dance.

  • WOW, great!

never seen such a kind of african dance before

  • Their drumming always confuses me, it's too complex, and the dancing steps are complex too!

  • @Sikhindu not as complex as the Rwandese dances believe me

  • @believer2010ful

I've seen only one kind of Rwandese dance, where they dance elegantly and slowly. It seems pretty simple like anyone can do. So I am looking forward to seeing anything more complex than this.

  • @Sikhindu you are right my dear.looks simple but tzhe footwork is not that easy .

  • @believer2010ful

I had completely ignored the footwork, all I seem to look at is the arms.

  • "longing to go hom, within a red, green and gold robe..." Burning Spears!

  • THE BEAT IS CALLIN' ME, CALLIN' ME BACK HOME TO AFRICA...I'M FEELIN' THIS AWSOME BEAT...I'M COMIN' BACK HOME...I'M COMIN' BACK!!! larakaraka all the way baby!!!

  • @malefti .I know that feeling .believe me

  • Africans are unshakable, despite all the tough times, they are bouncing back and even stronger.

Let it go Happy people,WHEN GOD IS WITH YOU, THE ONLY WAY IS FORWARD.

  • The Achol are LUO. Marvellous culture of the Luo. Proof that even billions of years cannot rub away a people's ancestral identity.

  • As an Acholi, i love this.I miss my people.Amarr wun weng

  • Beautiful People.

  • Luo music is da best

  • Beautiful!!!!

  • this shit is my shit!!! damn

  • Thank you very much.

  • this is wonderful!

  • AFRICA IS GREAT YOOOO!

  • U THINK UR americans or euro ur ar de real Africa from top 2 bottom if u isult dem means u have insulted ur self so think de second time before u open dat mouth (look before u leap

  • Just amazing!!!

Music, like mother earth and her rythms. Us, as her children create our own, and she watches!

    Great posting!!!!

  • you what!

  • you are so dumb and ignorant! I cant be asked!

  • Of course i don't support Africans killing other Africans or raping their women! Was Adolf Hitler an African? He burnt 6 million Jews in gas chambers. Are u going to talk like that to Germans?

  • ... and 11 million Russian solders and 17 million Russian civilians died int that same war you are talking about!

  • 4BUKO should really be sorry for the African crime against each other. MILLIONS AND MILLIONS dead or displaced in Uganda, Rwanda, Sudan, Congo. RAPING little girls, BURNING villages, forcing Boys to WAR, and my words are soooooooo hurtful to these people. HAAAAAAAAA !!!!! What an IDIOT !

  • Tubing08: U are an empty tin which makes a lot of noise. U sound like a toothless dog which backs a lot but doesn't bite. These African people have done nothing 2 u and yet u come to their utube site and insult them with vulgar language. Inside u are coward because u wouldn't write that shit 2 an American or European utube site. U are a sheep in wolves clothing. Most important apologize to the African people on this utube site 2 forgive u.

  • Wow! This is amazing. Everybody in this tribe is so gifted and fit!

As far as I understand, the girls five major hints to guy about choosing them as brides.

  • It looks like a community type of dance where nearly everyone in the neighborhood participates. The dancers are in rythm with the drums and singer. Good Physical Exercise 4 Primary school too. Good African tradition.

  • All I can say is, thank you very much, to the Achol. This is beyond description. Its marvellous!

  • I ment to say africa is africa it does not have to be UGANDA but WOW

  • I have been to Uganda, this is so special to my heart. I love you for life. Its the best country in the world

  • Yet another powerful statement by the Acholi people through their amazing dance that has been taught to them by their forefathers and mothers for centuries by-gone.

    We need more on u-tube.

  • one love !!!

    from w.africa

  • I am a luo in Kenya this hits close to home

  • I told you we are one.Whether you are from Kenya,Sudan,Ethiopia Tanzania etc etc as long as you'r a Luo that's all that matters.

LOVE MY LUO PEOPLE ALL OVER

  • thats it brother thats it

  • yah brother Luo stand up

  • wow

  • wow

  • my fav Acholi dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!! memories

  • The drumming is out of this world!!

    Intoxicating.

  • Subtle things to lok for: The discipline every where. The Female Captain and the assistant ensure the girls keep a straight line and beat.

Near the drummers in a gentleman (Commader in Chief) apparently doing nothing but watch!!

Who needs a Gym. Flat Six Pks every one - boys and girls.

And those bendable spines of the girls!! Bless Acholi Culture.

  • Pawidi boys and girls deserves big promotion. This is a real serious Larakaka. Can somebody out there tell me how to get to them?

  • Thank you for singing, dancing and playing musical instruments like was done by those great ancestors millions of years ago. Remember that a people who know where they came from will always know where they are going to. Indeed, without our ancestral Language and Culture we are absolutely nothing.

  • i can't believe this, i used to do this in my primary. fook in hell!!!

  • i like the tranditional dance more especially laraka..the way they playin is so good..
