so refreshing to see marine micro from bw. The amount of focus and precision needed to attack lurkers with mm was crazy intense. poor setup= marines dead, poor dodging lurker spikes= marines dead, multiple control groups not moving at the same time = everything dead, no focus firing = marines dead. sc2 marine micro is nice and all...just puts me to sleep 1/2 the time.

it's not fake actually. i watched this when it first came out.

to clarify: this isn't boxer. this is tratoss from s2 in the s2 promo trailer. due to controversy over it being legitimate since it came from a promo, boxer then demonstrated in fp vod that it's possible. also note boxer had almost no problem replicating it and even doing better than tratoss.

this shows that this type of micro isn't unusual for the high level pros. just in actual games, it's more effective to matrix 1and spread

I forget the people who did this match, but this isn't fake. The Terran player actually had a good sized force that got wasted by the lurkers that he forgot to check. He then used his 3 marines that he had left to get revenge on the lurkers. From there, the marines didn't survive long against the other zerg forces.

I'm the microist of these marines you see. I did this by hotkeying each marine separately. 1, 2, 3, then hotkeying all the marines 4 which is how I had them all select the lurker. My vessel was on 5 and the reason it moved was actually because I hit the wrong hotkey and right clicked the mouse. The game speed was on slow which is why I had time to hotkey my forces while microing "in an actual game". However, I can do this at fastest speed and proved it on pimpest plays.

I assume a lot of people will misinterpret what I'm writing here (probably on purpose, even) so I'll elaborate. As an overall gamer, he was nothing special. Heck, at the time he was a D- gamer on PGT. However, he practiced this move a lot and did it superbly. So even though the move in itself is/was high level, he was not an overall high level gamer.

In the actual movie this clip is taken from, you'll also see how he does it in first person. The proof got added since there were so many people rejecting to believe it was possible :P

@MarioBrosClassic i did. there is a delay when the marines are in their attack animation they cant move, but you can give them the command and then they will move after they are done attacking. in the time they are making their attack you can quickly tell each marine to move where you want and after their attack they will move at the same time

For all you n00bs saying this is fake, here is how its done.

Each individual marine is hot keyed 1-3. Science vessel is 4. Between lurker attacks, he moves each marine using RIGHT CLICK and then "S" for stop. Marine will move, stop, and will AUTOMATICALLY attack the lurker. Watch the video closely. ALL THE MARINES ARE NOT MOVING AT THE EXACT SAME TIME. They move one after the other.

The rine controller hot-key each rine to a different #... 1 2 and 3. With very fast movement he clicked each number and told each rine to move. The rines didn't move at the same time, but it was so fast that it seemed like it.

wrong, wrong and wrong. This was an official tournament game, on full speed, without map editor. Don't believe me? that's ok, check out starcraft pimpest plays 2004. It shows what the player is doing too. hotkeys plus very, very fast mouse skills.
