Lance could have stopped before he hit the red pole and let the man walk thru. It's obvious from the ending of the video where he tells the reporter to "get off" that he's in a bad mood and he allowed that being upset to justify pushing that guy. Lance was going threw a lot of stress at this time with all the people coming forward exposing his drug use and the pressure was building. LA was cause in the matter in that collision. He clearly chose to go around every other person and he turns into this guy. I got the reporter that was anxious for his positioning as they all are and walked into the back of LA's bike, yeah I'd be upset at that but LA didn't need to shoulder into the just walking. It's not like LA was racing...he was headed to his hut, camp, pit, etc.

It looks to me as if Lance, who I assume can see, sees the old guy and then leans into him cause he is upset.

LA was cause in the matter in that collision. He clearly chose to go around every other person and he turns into this guy. I got the reporter that was anxious for his positioning as they all are and walked into the back of LA's bike, yeah I'd be upset at that but LA didn't need to shoulder into the just walking. It's not like LA was racing...he was headed to his hut, camp, pit, etc.

It looks to me as if Lance, who I assume can see, sees the old guy and then leans into him cause he is upset.
The old guy never seems to move away from the fence any distance than he is when Lance sees him enter, no, I ride a bicycle with pros (See "George Hincapie Passed") and I know Lance is a pro and can ride a bike stright if he wished. He hit the old guy cause he could and might be able to win a fight if the old guy was a A-Hole like Lance.

I think he has been harshly judged over this (like many other things). If you think you are going to hit something, you brace yourself, and lean into it. The guy walked in front of him, he was bracing for impact.
