the prius' are very roomy and the set up is great. the prius is the best that we have right now. There aren't any legal vehicles that are all electric. Plus, electric powered isn't that much better. with everyone plugging their cars into an outlet at night, we are just increasing power plant production and coal plants.

I think the pro point being these cars have became such advertisement tool people don't really think beyond it. For making this car toyota uses just as much energy as used to build any other car or even more because it's something new. And to charge the electric motor you still have to use petrol which kind of asks the question what's wrong with making the current petrol or diesel engines more efficent.

The production of a Prius is very harmful to the environment, no matter how many recycling gimmics it says it posses. Recycling isn't that simple, Prius' will go to a crusher like all cars that are 'recycled'. They won't bother picking out every recyclable component.
If you want to be green with an internal combustion engine buy a CG125. It's not like most people who drive these cars ever have more than one passanger.
Also many cars/motorbikes are better and have a higher MPG with less C02.

Why? because at that time steam powered ships, trains, cars...etc was invented. So at that time, coal was mainly used to power those things. the prius is one of the most environmentally damaging cars on the road. It is fuel efficient but because of the way it is built it does more harm than good. it also costs 25k. it would take years for you to pay off that kind of money with gas millage years that the prius does not have as it only lasts on average 100,000 miles. if you want to buy a new car for fuel efficiency than you should look at the ford fusion hybrid and other domestic vehicles
You'd save a lot more on gas if you bought a Golf. It is more fuel efficient, has more power, and is built in a way that does not damage the environment, or if you really want to be fuel efficient buy a motor cycle, and if you really really want to be fuel efficient ride a bicycle

The prius is LITTLE. Not physically, but in every other way it is. Tiny Engine, Tiny Wheels, Tiny Speed, plus anyone who drives one likely has a tiny dick to match. But is a try to calm down a bit all the enormous co2 emissions . we need to change to Hydrogen or something like that, but its not easy to change everything on a small amount of time. so, therefore, toyota wants to reduce the co2 emissions and making other car manufacturers to follow it( its working , other brands are starting to build hybrid engines too )

the prius' are very roomy and the set up is great. the prius is the best that we have right now. There aren't any legal vehicles that are all electric. Plus, electric powered isn't that much better. with everyone plugging their cars into an outlet at night, we are just increasing power plant production and coal plants.
What we need are Hydrogen powered vehicles, or we can all get off our asses and ride a bike, that'll solve obesity:)

The production of a Prius is very harmful to the environment, no matter how many recycling gimmics it says it posses. Recycling isn't that simple, Prius' will go to a crusher like all cars that are 'recycled'. They won't bother picking out every recyclable component.
If you want to be green with an internal combustion engine buy a CG125. It's not like most people who drive these cars ever have more than one passanger.
Also many cars/motorbikes are better and have a higher MPG with less C02.

In fact, VERY FEW incidents of this acceleration have been reported. Yet, Toyota has chosen to recall and repair all 4 million of the effected vehicles sold in North America. Is that not the most responsible and proper thing to do?
Also, other American cars have constantly had design flaws which made them far more unsafe and unreliable than Japanese cars. However, did they ever bother to fix or repair them? Usually not, unless it was a massive and obvious problem.

Ok, yeah global warming has happened before, but that was a natural process. Now its not. Since the beginning of the industrial reveloution, the concentration of greenhouse gases including co2 rose. Why? because at that time steam powered ships, trains, cars...etc was invented. So at that time, coal was mainly used to power those things. When coal burns it releases co2 and other gases, and co2 is mainly the gas that is causing global warming. So that is why U should get your facts straight!

Scientists are predicting that we might actually skip a whole Ice Age because of so much of the arctic melting. Also, you're only looking at one part of the world. It is fuel efficient but because of the way it is built it does more harm than good. it also costs 25k. it would take years for you to pay off that kind of money with gas millage years that the prius does not have as it only lasts on average 100,000 miles. if you want to buy a new car for fuel efficiency than you should look at the ford fusion hybrid and other domestic vehicles

Ok, but for that price you can have a Golf diesel instead. Faster, cheaper, better interior, more space, better looking and better in every other way, including MPG. The only reason people buy the Prius, is the symbolical value. (See what Jay Leno says on the Tog Gear Honda Clarity review). Allso for 20 grand you could have a Jetta or a Cobalt (which is better, no matter what you say). Don't argue back. And the Prius isn't eco friendly either. The nickel batteries for example.

Liar. Japan extracts no Nickel from Canada, Toyota buys it from a pre-existing open pit mine in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.
The Batteries are made in the States and installed in the Prius plant there.

The prius is LITTLE. Not physically, but in every other way it is. Tiny Engine, Tiny Wheels, Tiny Speed, plus anyone who drives one likely has a tiny dick to match. A Mini Cooper is Small, and can probably beat the prius in almost every way. A mini could probably even come close in fule economy, if you drove it right. Plus, those little things are fast as hell. Fuck Prius.

Ha Ha. Its Easy to think that a Prius was designed by a cave man. Anyone here ever seen top gear? They did a test between a 2008 Prius and a 2008 BMW M3 (400 hp 4L). The M3 had to follow a Prius around a track for ten laps going the same speed. The Prius had to go as fast as it could. Guess which one got the better millage? Right, the M3. It got 19.4 MPG. The Prius only got 17.2. I hear it only gets an average of 45mpg. Liars! A VW Golf Desile Can get Waaaaay better milage than the P.O.S. Prius.

that isnt completely true, GMC it self is making little sales, so, they want to due without it (and keep pontiac, chevy, cadillac, and buick) but GM itself is doing great (including its silverado 3500, this truck is the best selling, most fuel economic, and strongest truck out) ford is also doing fine. however chrysler is fucked.... also in the next few years (starting now) is going to have the most fuel efficient cars.
my father has a malibu hybrid, it makes the prius look like shit. gets 45mpg

toyota does make more sales world wide because there cars are so cheap! if you want a good car buy gm! also, your american, support your own economy, your countrys going into fricken ressesion! also 23-31 mpg ist too good, a volkwagen golf diesel get about 50! for the record the pontiac vibe is the most fuel efficient car in is class and it gets 30+ and its double the size of the prius.

but i will go futher and say the Toyota Prius is a piece of shit built for wankers to think they are saving the environment,I have also heard their batterys cannot be recycled and the lead acid is bad for the environment.I think I will stick to my 351ci(5.8 Ltr)V8 Ford,it runs on propane gas which makes me feel less guilty about having a nice big motor up front and my car is way cooler than the ugly disposable turd the Prius is.

they actually do alot more damage than a regular vehicle. Studies have shown that these things do more damage in the longrun than a landrover discovery. All they are doing is solving one problem with another. The mine where they get the nickel for the fuelcell is a complete wasteland forests are dead nothing lives there. In fact it is so desolate that nasa used it to simulate the moon.

Its true that prius is not 100% gas free. But is a try to calm down a bit all the enormous co2 emissions . we need to change to Hydrogen or something like that, but its not easy to change everything on a small amount of time. so, therefore, toyota wants to reduce the co2 emissions and making other car manufacturers to follow it( its working , other brands are starting to build hybrid engines too )
