The heart of the show is gone in the new season since Giddeon is gone! Giddeon was one of our favorite characters, and still is! Joe Mantegna will never be able to bring heart or strength to the show like Giddeon did! Giddeon believed in "the team". Dave works outside of the team, going behind everyone's back, causing hardships on everyone else! We really wish that Giddeon would be brought back, or else take Mantegna off of "the team". When Giddeon was on the show, "the team" was family!

I like him in the show it makes all the others work together more. And + hes fun....and funny..and hunts. Its cool to see how the others on the team will work with something new to them. And he just rocks all around.

I agree with you. He's just sort of like a forced character now. I was really excited to see him join the cast but he disappointed me. I'm still going to watch because I love Reid and Morgan. They're story lines are really good and entertaining with the exception of the torture last season.

I think Joe is a great actor. I loved him on Joan of Arcadia and I hope he isn't going to make this awesome show seem more depressing because of his secrets. I hope it benefits more than hurts.

He is a good actor. He doesn't fit - the show doesn't need him. They must think the actors can't carry the show. They are wrong. One less show I need to watch now.

He must've been the last choice, they had asked Geena Davis first and then Harvey Kietel... too bad it isn't one of them. Unlike Joe, they're good actors.

Actually they were both rumors. Joe was the one they wanted from the beginning, this was confirmed by the Executive Producer Ed Bernero.

I'm going to miss Gideon, but the new guy doesn't seem like a carbon copy of him, so the show might not go down hill with out Gideon.
