  • I have always loved Albert King. I saw him when I was just a kid. Back stage after the show I met him and asked if he needed any roadies. He was amused and smiled and said no, he's got all the help he needs. There was a dude was slipping his shoes off and giving him his slippers. No party, no hanger-ons. Just a silly kid in Nashville looking for a way in. But Rory Gallagher? He fucked this song up! He might be good in his own right but please stay with what you do and leave the masters alone!

  • this is from Albert King "Live in Montreux". Interesting story... King invited Gallagher to play a couple of numbers with him, but didn't tell Rory what key the songs were in. Gallagher had to ask one of the horn players... "B natural boy " !!!

  • Alright, this is so awesome !!!!!!!!!!

  • If someone has any clue in which album this is recorded at, please tell me.

A download link to this song is also accepted!

    Thankyou very much!

  • Does anybody know what kind of amp Albert kind was using over his years as a blues man??? For that matter any of his equipment / other than his guitar.

  • @runrabbitrun4342 Amps: Acoustic 270 Solid State Head - Roland JC-120 Jazz Chorus Combo / 2x12 - and an MXR Phase 90 Phaser pedal

  • @runrabbitrun4342 oh and i forgot to say that i wasn´t kidding, he REALLY USED a Phase 90, that´s really crazy and the very first time i heard about that i thought it was a joke. Also, I think he used a fender tweed bassman sometimes
