  • Is Linux faster than Vista Home Premium?

Could I access an external HDD formatted in FAT32 with Linux?

  • yes, you can access a HDD in fat32, ntfs, fat, etc... but form windows you cant access a ext3 or ext4

  • There is a program you can install in windows that will allow reading of ext2 and ext3. Its called ext2 IFS for windows.

  • Speed is often relative. Personally I've not seen a significant difference. if you want speed then a fresh install of windows xp will give you the fastest speed of the lot in my opinion.

  • @ubuntuhal Yes, maybe... but Ubuntu is much cleaner and faster than windows as well. (The Linux Kernel in the version 10.04LTS is perfect!)

  • Hay man nice vid, where did u get your theme and or background ?

  • The theme is Moomex along with the Vamox icon theme. Unfortunately I can't post a link where you can get the wallpaper from due to the restrictions of youtube however if you do a google search for vladstudio and when you're on that site click on the desktop wallpapers tab. Go down to the bottom of the page and change all categories to abstract, click on Go. The one you're looking for is number 13. infinity blue. You can only download low quality pics for free but they are still of good quality.

  • Nice video man!
