They years are generally not kind to blondes & redheads, with Beverly D'Angelo being a rare exception. Brunettes fair much better. As a male in his mid-40's, brunettes are appreciated more :)
Love the song, but where'd they get all those outfits... and why would there be so many clothes (women's clothes, at that!) aboard a boat run by men and only intended for short tours? And if they made the outfits on the island, where'd they get the fabric and all the little doodads that go into making outfits? Coconuts can only stretched so far, y'see.
Don't look for too much logic on Gilligans Island. The professor was just there to add intelectual content. Notice that he never stands infront of the ladies?
Crispian St Peters had the British hit with this tune, the We five had the American hit. It was originally written and recorded by the Canadian duo Ian & Sylvia.
I have written a short essay on this song, one of my favorites, retrievable if you google the title "You Were On My Mind: Ode to a Sometimes Maligned Song."
Am I supposed to wear 3-D glasses for this?

If this is meant to be 3-D, then why does the red image keep moving compared to the cyan one?
dbethke1959 1 year ago
@dbethke1959 Yes what a F UP VIDEO. Although Beverly Bivens and the We Five are a great singing group and the sound is great.

The later years have been kind to "Mary Ann" not so much to "Ginger". There's lesson there for the younger guys, doubt they'll learn it though.
