  • "No question what's about to happen."

Even Brent Musburger was surprised about what happened on 4th and inches.

  • Sweet Game!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Watching old videos really makes me appreciate the yellow first down lines, and score/timouts/time bar at the top of today's broadcasts.

  • fuck texas

  • @sure1313 No.. Fuck YOU!!!

  • @sure1313 little brother and inferiority complex much?

  • earl campbell, priest holmes, ricky williams, cedric benson, jamaal charles. shit Texas has had some good rbs

  • @SchackDaddy2010 Where did these guys all grow up? Wow! That really took some recruiting! Not to mention 100s of others..........

  • Check this out.....

Husker Pump Up Pre-Game vs KU 1995 or /watch?v=4maglgS_zRk on utube

  • As a Gator fan, I'm eternally grateful to Texas for beating Nebraska in 1996. That huge upset allowed Florida to face Florida State in the Sugar Bowl, where the Gators won their first national championship.

I watched this classic game with a college buddy at a sports bar filled with Huskers fans. I thought I was going to get my butt kicked, because I was getting more hysterical with every big play Texas pulled off.

  • @Towncrier123

Also Ohio State beating Arizona State in the Rose Bowl helped your cause also. I was honestly shocked hearing this on the walkman that Texas beat a really good Nebraska 1996 team. (They had a "off" year in 1996 going 11-2)

  • At the .29 mark, Musberger called "Touchdown Texas!" when Priest Holmes was at the Texas 40 yard line!

  • two words: roll left

  • Ricky Williams had to play behind The Priest!

  • this nebraska team got caught with there pants down....this texas team was not very good they lost to some horrible teams...they won this game and got beat down by penn state in the fiesta bowl.

  • @hostiledefense No It goes like this, The recruting and Big12 has put texas on the map. Not to mention that little rivalry between OU thats way better then any rivalry in college football let alone any Nebraske rivaly if they even have any true ones.

  • @texkilloklaevyr texas vs OU is not the best rivalry in college football. nebraska doesnt have many rivalries because through the years they have destroyed all their so called rivals.....the best rivalry in college football has been miami vs FSU....titles have been taken away in that series. before this year the last 8 games were decided by 8 points or less....i can remember the OU/ texas rivalry being dead for YEARS. OU scored in the 60s twice this decade on texas.

  • This game would have been very different for Texas if more than half oif the defense did not have the flu.

  • three touchdown favorite Nebraska and the Horns pulled it off wow! That's team football and great coaching.

  • Texas owns the Big 12.Texas has the money, the coaches , the players and the ability to recruit there ass off.As a fan it's not my/our fault the other 11 can't keep up.Hey Nebraska you know what they say... "If you can't hang with the big dogs stay off the porch"All I hear is whining from Husker fans, and I like Nebraska.Have fun playing in the Big 10.Hook Em

  • Texas/Nebraska games tend to be awesome. Im happt Texas wins but its not easy. I cant wait for this yrs matchup

  • According to these high lights Nebraska ran two offensive plans one was a fumble and still managed to score 27 points. That's pretty damn good! Thanks for adding the high-lights, but it tell a better story if you showed high lights of both teams this just looks like Texas beat them 37-0. Sorry had to give you a thumbs down.

  • Nebraska put Texas football on the map cause before this game, Texas was completely irrelevant in the college football world. Meanwhile, Nebraska wins the National Title once again the next year, while Texas assumes their usual 4-7 "home for the holidays" position. Brown was possessed in this game with his late over the middle throws, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in awhile.

  • @hostiledefense

    NU - has-been program from a no-talent state.

  • @hostiledefense after this game texas went back to mediocrity they got blown out by penn state in the fiesta bowl and was not good again until until 2000 they went 4-7 the very next year.

  • @getyoasshome

Texas has quietly been the best program in the nation for the last 10 years.

  • @kvjhedfbv based on what???? not titles...not BCS games....TEXAS IS ONE OF THE MOST UNDERACHIEVING PROGRAMS IN THE COUNTRY!!!!!! "quietly" I wouldnt say that, every year we hear about how they have this player and this espn 150 player and they have this high recruiting class and at the end of the season no title.

  • @getyoasshome

There are several schools that could complain about not being selected to play in the championship game.

  • @kvjhedfbv in what year?

  • The ownage of Nebraska begins in this game.

  • There will be no catching the priest this time

  • Hookem Horns! \m/

  • You're probably right Jabal...the Big 12 may have been the death of Nebraska football....The days of only having to beat up on the teams that make up the Big 12 North were over...having to play real teams like Texas in conference play exposed them! What is Texas, 7-1 against them in the past 13 years?

  • @Hornfan84 For real trivia: What was the average point margin their 7 wins over NU? Any guesses? It's not much. I hope you can respect that and not be one of THOSE kind of fans that claims "total domination" without any appreciation for how close the games have been and the lucky breaks Texas gets.

  • @drnkinirish One point, one second...may as well be one hundred. Its not the "closeness" that counts...kind of like USC fan saying "well, you only beat us by 3"...its the fact that back in the day, you, like USC, were supposed to be us by 3 touchdowns everytime out...well, until 2004.

  • @Hornfan84 Actually, to this day I'm still amazed that Coach(less) Callahan was able to even compete against Texas. While the rest of the Big 12 hangs 40-50 points on us, Texas struggled. Except for the Alamo Bowl win against Michigan, I consider each Texas match Callahan's signature game.

It is the "closeness" that has made it a damn good series to watch and a rivalry game. If it became a blowout game there wouldn't be much of a rivalry, would there?

  • @Hornfan84 And if you want to accurately quote a USC fan you should be whining about bad refs, Young's knee being down, dead ball calls and still being the best team ever to play the game (aka Leinart's post game interview). I've yet to encounter a USC fan from that era exemplifying class or good sportsmanship. I'd be willing to lump Texas fans with them if it weren't for the actions an elite few.

  • Texas remembers this, and will NOT let the tables turn. :-)

  • maybe they wont turn this year. . but they will turn. . . Pelini is just getting started. . .he will get higher caliber talent. . .and it will be a whole new BIG 12. . guaranteed. GO BIG RED

  • The big 12 was the death of Nebraska football.

  • Nebraska DID win a National Championship in 97.

It wasn't until Osborne left and the politicians at the school took over that it sunk into the gutter.

  • Don't feel bad. Oklahoma is right behind you. Texas still picks what kids get to be Longhorns. Oklahoma is now having to fight recruiting battles with the new B12 north schools for the rest.
