I remember reading these books years ago. Taxidermy was always creepy, but I loved him anyway. It's pretty cool to see it animated, even if it's a bit different from the original.

In the book, Taxidermy phones Lenore and tells her he's held up in town over night so she'll have to look after Malakai over night. Lenore spends the night huddled in the corner with a broom and a can of RAID...I like this ending too though

Yeah, but if you think about it that woulda been boring and it could have taken longer to animate. Animation DOES take ages snd patients.
