@herbienbrian2 Thats one bad ass sounding mini van and if your going to switch engines dont put a crappy hemi in it. For real power put a 4 cylinder cummins in it.
@cyaple I just had a local muffler shop remove the muffler just where the exhaust pipe enters it. Then they welded a tip on the end of the pipe and made it so it was out of the way for offroading. It cost me a total of $40 and after a couple years has caused me no trouble. Only complaint is from my wife who says it's too loud on long road trips.
@tarrier10 Cats on means it's not true straight pipe. I'm not saying you should take the cats off, but with them on, it's not straight pipe. It's just muffler deleted.
Who installed your straight pipe or did you do it?? Have you any problems worth mentioning so far?? I'm considering doing this but I am not sure what the straight pipe will do because of these new computerized systems in the new jeeps....
It's not a full straightpipe. The shop basically took the muffler off and added a custom built pipe from there. So far no ill effects. It gets maybe .5 mpg less on the highway but better in the city.
these stupid 3.8's sound like mini vans.
Its not even worth putting any kind of exhaust on a JK...unless its got a hemi.

This year of Wrangler didn't have the 4.0 i6. It's a 3.8l v6. Not a very popular motor...
