@zezuntxiduntxi I did. It seems to fit better for me. I also shaved some of the bottom horn down for easier access to high notes.

The Ec looks cool but the reason I like the viper is the 24 fret neck and for soloing it is very easy the reach the high notes. I think the Ec has ESM 81/60 instead of 81/85. I like the 85 but the 60 seems warmer..It was a hard choice for me too. I went with the LTD viper 400 cuz i found it used on craigslist for 275 w/ a hard case. I replaced the plastic nut for a bone one and hane it set up but a great guitar.. good features for the price..ESP fuck the rest..

@littlealien123 Honestly It just depends on what I gota do with the guitar. I don't prefer either one. I have both of them and both are great. I personally don't like sitting with a Ec model. I give lessons with the viper all the time. Both are great. So I got both.

Hey man, you know that whole run down the neck starting at about 0:52? What mode/scale are you using there? It's got s pretty nice sound

@Itsooz Im pretty much using the Key of D minor. so.... If you know some theory that will help. The base of that shred lick is using F major scale 3 notes per string(Im also throwing in a C# note for my own personal touch.) The pickin pattern is more complex.

@hellgun949494 The necks on the vipers have change over the years. Mine is thin and more traditional LTD neck. Fast for sure. The newer ones seem to have a slightly thicker neck. The necks are definitely not heavy. Good shredder guitar if you get the right one.

There pretty equal-just depends on which body style your more comfortable with.
