Imo, New gen of r1 looks better than new gen of gixxer, but old k1-k2 gixxer looks much better than any new flimsy toy look r1 and gixxer. K1-k2 gixxer looked like real strong big superbike, not like flimsy transformers. Black rims makes the bike looks smaller too.

Some people comment here that R1 is faster others say GSXR is faster but you are missing a point about bikes. How fast they are is not about the bikes but about how good rider you are.

Who really cares, they both fly. Gixxer is quicker, but neglible. Put Stoner on a Hyosung 250 and he would beat most posting here on a 1 litre. All comes down to the rider, I ride for a living and I cannot get the full out of either of these bikes consistently. they are fast machines.....and on the streets....not a problem, as any bike can be ridden safely and slowly

any year gixxer any cc's is the ugliest bike ever made. its for fat people who need the extra hp to move their lard ass. yeah its porbabaly faster in a straight line then the other major supersport bikes but who gives a fuck about straight lines. im pretty sure anyone could crank it full it in a straight line within an hour of ever getting on a bike.

yeah noooo shit... the 02 gixxer 1000's were badass in my opinion and there huge compared to the 05-08 models, they make them look like a 600 or 750 but gah the power diffrence in the 02 and the 07 really amazed me. Like i said i have a 07 gixxer 1000 with two brothers racing exhaust with a power commander, and then the 02 has a D&D slip on exhaust also with a power commander and lemme tell you i left the 02 waaay behind me,but still i say GSXR over R1 inyday

spirit407-I would love to, but I'm a thousand miles away in Ohio. What size difference are you talking about? A 2007 R1 weighs in at 390 lbs dry and a 06 GSXR 1000 weighs in at 365 lbs dry. It is on their websites....look it up! How much do you weigh? If you are over 140 lbs I'd be looking at you in my mirror unless you've made some serious modifications! I've ridden and beat R1's before. What have you done to yours and what times are you running?

A fat boy would look like a gorilla on a moped on a GSXR 1000. You may have you opinion about the ZX14, Busa, ZX10, and GSXR 1000, but the R1 is the slowest of them all!
